It also means your don't come in contact with bedding that hasn't been washed since the last guest. The blanket is sort of hidden in between the sheets, so you're touching clean sheets (whether you're sitting on the bed or under the covers).

No more wondering who did what on the unwashed comforter your kids are rolling around on top of the bed! :thumbsup2

Just spoke to my housekeeper, who is a sweetheart, and she told me they are changing to the triple sheets in all rooms by Oct. we still have the comforters but I just take mine off anyways. Lunch by the pool was good. DH had a regular hamburger and pasta salad and I had the grilled chicken sandwich with arugula it was delicious. Off for a nap and MNNSHP tonight.

MMMM, yes, the grilled chicken sandwich with arugula is delicious! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the live updates and those from recent trips. :thumbsup2

This makes me VERY happy. I hate having to yell at my kids for touching the beds before I can remove those comforters. LOL.

Are the fridges that are plugged with notes on them saying not to use them the old ones that were recalled? It was my understanding that all the fridges were removed because there was an incident involving a fire caused by a fridge. I am concerned that possibly dangerous/recalled products are in use in the resort my family will be sleeping in for 8 nights. And if the ones currently in the rooms are new and are working why would they have a note on them saying not to use them? Yes I am paranoid but I'm just a little curious about whey there are working fridges in the rooms but people are being asked not to use them. Either way we will have our cooler with us since we drive so I don't really care about the fridge, just don't want to get woken up to a fire alarm on vacation. :firefight

The fridges in the room with the notes are unplugged and tell you not to use them. You will be fine. Just don't open it they are stinky inside. My DD opened ours not realizing it wasn't working. I am sure if there is a new one in the room it will not have a note on it.

We leave tomorrow for 7 days at POP. First time going!!!

We ordered from Garden Grocer some snacks and such. Bought a styrofoam cooler as well. Need it for milk for DS3 and DD4.

I HATE the thought of throwing it out after and wasting it. I had a thought this morning in the shower and headed here ASAP. LOVE this community!

If anyone is staying at POP and would like the cooler after we are done with it, I would gladly give it to you. Free...rather someone use it then trash it.

We are staying from the 14th to the 21st. Can possibly leave it at front desk...

If interested, PM please.

Keep smilin!:)

Of theyd hold it for a month I'd take it lol hopefully by than the fridges will be in :)

I was so happy when September 1 came. First thing I said that morning was "next month we're going to Disney!"

I'm dying to see pics of the new bedding! Does that mean the heavy bedspread will disappear? Please say yes!

Will an ipad fit in the room safe?
Thanks!

Absolutely! I had my laptop, envelopes divided w/ $$ & GCs, an overstuffed wallet, some meds in the presription bottles, a box with my extra jewelry, and my overstuffed keyring and probably something else in there as well
Oh, my spare sony cybershot camera was in there too!!
Didn't put the power cord in...just the laptop. ;)

All that in a Pop safe?! Are all the value safes the same....key operated, not electronic? The safe we had at ASMo last year was quite small...no way to fit a laptop in it. Nothing like the nice big safes at Poly. I assumed all values have the small safes?

Thanks. That makes sense. I keep seeing people post that the fridges are in their rooms with a note not to use them but that the fridge still worked. I assumed they were plugged in and working but I guess the guests have been plugging them in and using them in spite of the notes???? That doesn't give me a warm fuzzy.

I assumed that Disney had removed all the broken/recalled fridges from the rooms.

Thanks again for the explanation. Yuck to a stinky fridge. I will advise my kids not to open it....and I am sure they will do what they are told. ;)

The bedspread disappears. Here's a photo from All-Star Sports, which also has the new bedding. This soft goods treatment of sheets with themed throw is what Disney is tending to use across the resorts and on the cruise ships.

Are you sure this was at Pop? I remember the safes being quite small. Big enough for a tablet and a few other things, but not all that!
