Is there info on the cost of cab rides to or from Pop and the parks? In particular I'm considering grabbing a cab back to catch ME instead of worrying about getting to the bus to get there on time. I took a peak on transportation and didn't see it there.

TIA!

The best luck I have had is doing google image searches of the menu items. It can be a little hit or miss, but there are enough pictures of the new menu items out there now to get a decent idea.

:offtopic: This thread gave me a nightmare last night- I had a dream the pop rooms were redone, there was a full size bed, a rollaway cot & a standard bathroom, with a separate toilet installed in a closet right next to the full size bed. :confused3(????!!!!) The sinks were these little froufrou pedestal bowls and water from the spigot splashed everywhere. :crazy2: There was new bedding & fridges though. What topped it off was a go-kart track & watermark right outside the rooms, and was the preferred location. I'm sure the discussion about the noise on the pool side rooms had something to do with that part.

We've stayed at pop, each time in the 50s section. No complaints except I wouldn't want a ground floor room in the future. We've requested the 60s section for our upcoming stay.

eta--- The check in that happened in this dream was simply walking along a bank of mailboxes with your magic band. When a box lit up, you opened the box, and all of the paperwork for your room and other info that they normally give you at the desk was in it. Then you proceeded straight to your room. :sad2:

:faint::faint::faint::faint:

Arriving at pop 11/1, sooo ready to get there! Hope we have a fridge & maybe even the new bedspreads:-)

Is it true there is a new menu at Pop and the awesome chicken alfredo is gone?

Yes. My DD15 is CRUSHED. I've read quite a few negative reviews of the next menu which is disappointing. We plan on going next door so she can have the build-your-own pasta.

27 days! We got our fridge letter and Magic Band invite via snail mail today. Our magic bands are on the UPS truck and on their way here!!!!! SO excited for them to arrive!:rotfl: Oh and we are 90% packed!

I found this at Disney Food Blog http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/...hes-at-disneys-pop-century-resort-food-court/

All ears hasn't updated the pop menu yet, which is surprising given all the current updates of others on the site.

Yeah, my mistake for looking at the menu before we booked Pop at the beginning of summer. One of the selling points for us of this resort over the All Stars (which we've stayed at) was Pop's (outdated) menu. Oops! We'll get enough tasty (free) food in the parks so it won't be an issue. I hope.

The new breakfast potato casserole is yummy! :thumbsup2

And they still have the chocolate chip pancakes ::yes::

.

Long story short: We stayed at a hotel in Fargo ND which had a restaurant attached and they had Mr. Chippy pancakes there. All my son talks about is going back so he can have Mr. Chippy pancakes (chocolate chip pancakes). Now I can add that as a clue for him when we surprise him. "We are going to a place where Mr. Chippy likes to vacation but it isn't Fargo." :rotfl:

Researching POP for 2015, is it true that it's getting bedding like what All Star Sports has currently?

You give me hope that we may get an invite!!

That is what is being reported by Pop guests, yes. The new bedding with sheets and a themed throw; no more comforter.

We just checked out of POP yesterday after a great 9 day stay... Checked in Sept 21st, 50s section, building 1, 1st floor. Excellent location! Quiet, close to everything.

FRIDGE: We had an old fridge with the "do not use" note on it but it was already plugged in so we used it. When we got back to our room on Wednesday night, it had been replaced with a NEW fridge, the note was gone and they had moved the contents over to the new fridge. Yaaayy!!

No new bedding.

I can't really comment on the food court since we only ate 2 meals there and one of them was breakfast. It's hard to screw up bacon and eggs! haha! The area was PACKED in the mornings but the lines seemed to move fast enough.

Overall, very satisfied with our stay at POP and the theming is awesome! We previously stayed at ASMu and last year we upgraded to a MOD (CBR). I definitely prefer the 'values' for the 'theming' especially with younger children (10 and under). With the MODS, I found that the 'Disney feel' was lost and it felt like we were just staying at any hotel outside Disney. It's definitely a personal choice but we would definitely stay at POP again... we use the extra cash to upgrade to the full dining plan and dine at all the most popular character meals. Character dining rule! :-)

AOA is close enough that it's worth the walk over. I imagine we'll be doing that for a non-breakfast at least once. We're only there four nights, so I'm thankful for that. Underwhelmed with the new menu at pop.

Less than an month is now official! Only 30 days to go and we received our Mickey mail today. So FP are reserved, we received our Photopass +, Magical Express tags are in, Mickey mail today and MB when we'll check in!

Can't wait to try Pop after more than 5 trips! Going to be a great stay, I'm sure.

Quick question regarding Magical Express service to Pop : do you share the bus with other resorts or it's only Pop?
