Cool! Our flight gets in at 9 (had to wait to go until after work) and we are leaving early afternoon on the 28th! I will be on the scooter ecorated with the green Mickeys--if you see me, say hello!!

I absolutely will!! I wish I would have thought to decorate the scooter I rented last time! That is a cute idea. This time I'll be on foot so can't steal the idea.

Lets say I want some coffee for breakfast I'm my refillable mug, the I want to take some soda to go. Is there a way to wash it out some place? After a week of getting various drinks, it would start to get a little dirty, would it not?

There are mug wash stations in the food court. It is really just a place to rinse them, though. A good tip is to put dish soap on a sponge. Let it dry completely, and then cut it up into squares. Take the squares with you on your trip so you can wash your mugs daily. Getting the sponge wet will reactivate the soap.

Will be returning to Pop a week from today! Does anyone have a picture of the current refillable mug? If I'm staying close enough to the main building I'm thinking of going ahead and investing in one this trip and am wondering what they look like. Thanks for any help.

I will be in Disney with my DBF in 153 days. We didn't even bother putting the luggage away from when we went in February. I am sooooooooooo looking forward to be back there once again. LOVE IT!

Why did some of you choose to stay at Pop instead of AOA?

I actually like the theme of POP. Don't get me wrong, I have seen AOA. It is really beautiful. But the LM section is far from the main section, past Lion King. And Nemo, Cars, Lion King are suites. I really don't need a suite since it is only for two people.

I have planned to book a vacation with two other members of the family. But I just don't think the rooms at AOA will be big enough for two sets of adults. I rather book two rooms at POP. It is all a matter of comfort. I love Disney regardless where I stay.

AoA has connecting rooms, just not very many. The LM buildings at AoA are identical in design to all of POPs buildings. Actually, they were intended to be the other half of POP until they decided to build AoA instead.

Not according to the three different people I spoke to as I tried to make reservations. One said they did, she tried to book for us and then had to tell us they didn't have ANY. I then checked with someone on the live chat and the third person who I ended up booking my reservation with the next day said there are no connecting rooms in the resort.
I haven't been there, but I'm going to take the word of the people who work there.

You were given bad info. People have stayed in connecting LM rooms at AoA. There are posts about it in the AoA FAQ thread here on the Dis. Connecting rooms are not a bookable category, so maybe the CMs were confused because it isn't something they can physically book. Connecting rooms are by request only (of course, the same is true for POP, so who knows what they were thinking). Some of the call centers are not even located in Florida. Someone tried to request a lakeview at POP and the CM told them there was no lake at POP. Sorry you were given bad info by the CMs. Maybe you could try a stay at AoA next time.

The people who work for WDWTC don't necessarily work on WDW property and probably know less about the resorts than many of the frequent posters on the Disboards. The LM rooms at AOA do, indeed, have some connecting rooms. Just like Smitch pointed out. Sorry you were given poor information by WDWTC. I recognize that you can only go by what they told you, but if you really want connecting rooms at LM, you should call back and have it noted on you're ressie. In almost no circumstance will connecting rooms be guaranteed, but they are there. There are several YouTube videos of the rooms that show the connecting doors.

That totally irks me! I had a hard time believing it, that's why I tried three different times. WHY would they give out bad info? I even pushed the issue with one of them and he put me on hold for more than 5 minutes while he checked with the people around him AND contacted someone at the AoA resort.

I've been telling friends and family to check with the DIS first for good info. Relying on phone CMs is s crap shoot.

Not just the reservationists but the CMs on property too!!! My sister had a CM who said she had worked for WDW for 10 years and she knew what she was talking about when she told my sister about upgrading her ticket to an AP. Well she told my sister that if she upgraded her 10day ticket after using up 5 days she would only get the value of the the remaining 5 days applied toward the upgrade to her AP! What??? NO!! As long as you upgrade before you use the last day, you get the full value. We have been told that it is best not to wait until the last day because sometimes that can be a bit tricky, so you should try to do it on day 9 rather than 10. Now, do you know how many people may not have upgrade tickets because she was misinforming them??? My sister called me and asked me if I was sure I was right. I said yes. Go to the ticket window at a park and do it. Of course, they agreed with me. The CM there was so disappointed that another CM would give such inaccurate information and this was at the front desk of POFQ.

Yes, but there are very few. so it will be a long shot. so don't be disappointed if you don't get one. Esp if it is a busy time of year...

Honestly, I really doubt he called the hotel. I would imagine he did talk to those around him. But I find it hard to believe he contacted the hotel and then STILL came back with innacurate info. The room assigners work on property at the hotel. Well, at least they do at POP. They work in the back. So if he called and they asked around, he should have gotten accurate info.
Sorry, you got 'bum' info. But unfortunately, it happens way too often. Unfortunately, the agents just don't know and some of them have never been there or have only ever been to one resort and are fairly clueless. Hope you enjoy your trip!

I have one of these rooms booked for our Oct. stay. It is a handicapped accessible room and is specifically stated on our reservation. I wasn't told that this was a request only room. I know most rooms are by request, but I was told that I it is booked and it is stated directly on our reservations. Should I be worried about not getting it? There is no way my autistic daughter and handicapped mother can share a bed.

I have a question about room requests...

We are checking in 49 days (yay!) and I was able to access online check in on the Disney website... but the only thing I could request was decade building and pool/lake view and floor number.

Is there another way to request a king bed over the 2 double beds? Is this a problem with the website? Or am I too far away from check in for that?
