We didn't have bus sharing but DH and I were confused one night going back to the resort when we saw a tour bus sitting there waiting for guest. It wasn't mears but another company. Never knew disney contracted with other bus services. One thing I liked about those buses was the strollers just went underneath in the luggage area. Nice not to haul them on a bus.

Yup had one last nite coming back from Epcot after EMH. No one was standing. The driver was counting people as they were boarding.

Sorry no. They have them at the moderates and deluxes though.

Yes, you can...but they have Plenty you can borrow right at the pool. So if you are limited on space for packing, I wouldn't worry. They have an abundant supply. But if you would feel better bringing your own, by all means do so.

i would like a room overlooking the lake if possible and something not too far from the main building. Any suggestions as to what area I should request?

We were in the 70s section building 3. Saw the lake and AoA too. Nice view. 4th floor too. The walk to the main building was not bad.

There are four buildings that overlook the lake...
Bldg 3 in the 50's
Bldgs 4 & 5 in the 60's
Bldg 6 in the 70's

I've stayed in both bldgs 3 & 5 and both were quite pleasant! I enjoyed each! I like the lakeview rooms very much! I think you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Yes, there are currently two...but they have moved them as they are in a different location than shown in this picture. They are now both all the way to the far right (if you are looking at the food stations) past the far right drink station on a separate island opposite that drink station...next to a seating area. I couldn't find them and had to ask where they were because I figured they had moved them around.

Hi All,

I have a question regarding our departure day! We are booked at POP to come July 15th through the 20th. Our plane departure time is 8:45 PM.I plan on hitting RD at AK the morning of our departure. I am guessing our DME bus will be scheduled to leave around 5 PM, which means we would have to leave the park around 3 PM or earlier.

This is the first time that we have flown an airline that participates in resort check in. Can we check into our flight before we leave for the park? Also, can we leave our luggage with the bell hop while out at the park if we cannot do airline check in prior?

I was wondering the same thing. We also have an 8:45 departure in September, and we were thinking that we too would be picked up around 5. So my question is, how do we go about checking out early that day, handling our luggage, carry ons, and airline check in. Airtran is our airline.

Wondering the same thing, and also wondering about online check in the night before we leave, and selecting seats at the 24 hour mark.

I always fly JetBlue, so I'm not sure if AirTran is different, but this is how its always worked for us. We check out the hotel at the front desk around 8am (gotta get to RD!) and then take our luggage out to the DME area. There, there's an airline check-in counter, where they'll check your ID's, take any checked baggage from you, and give you your boarding passes. After that, if you have any carry-on bags you don't want to take to the parks, directly next to it is the hotel's Bell Services desk. They'll take your carry-on bags from you and give you a receipt. Let them know if you have anything really valuable (ie. laptops) and they'll put your bags in a double-locked cage and give you a receipt for that. Then, off to enjoy your day! Get to the hotel in time to get your things back from Bell Services, and get on the DME

Your ME pick up time will be approximately 3 hrs prior to your flight. You are requested to be at the bus stop 15 min prior to your scheduled pick up time. The day before you check out they will leave an envelope on your door with your ME pick up info. They will have checked you in for your flight (At least that's always been my experience) and unless you need to settle up a bill, you really don't need to stop at the front desk to check out. That morning take your checked bags to the resort airline check in desk and have them check you in for your flight. You will need to take your ID with you to do this. These are the bags you don't want to see again until you reach your home airport. Then you can leave your carry-on bags with luggage assistance while you go to the park. Just be sure to give yourself time to retrieve your carry-ons and be to the bus stop in time. It's really pretty easy to do!
