A quick question!
We are now a family of 5 going, staying in 2 rooms at Pop. I'm wondering if it would be odd to request one of the rooms be a king room while the other room a normal, 2 bed room?
We're hoping we get connecting, we were quarenteed it since we have more kids than adults but I've heard that doesn't really matter.

Another change? :rotfl2: Who got added back in?

Yea, I'm getting slighty frustrated with it all, lol! :crazy2:
My 14 year old, Christopher. He had decided to go on a cruise with grandma, then they had some kind of disagreement & she disinvited him! :sad2: I can;t say on here what I think of her at the moment. Needless to say, I called her & told her to never plan on my kids doing any vacations with them in the future. I'm sure there was teen attitude & hormones involved but gimme a break! So now, he's going with us again. I'm just waiting for the oldest to decide he made a mistake & has to go now as well. Glad I didn't cancel any of my ADRs for 6! :faint:

Oh how awful!! You may end up with your full family vacation yet!!

Subscribing because we will be there Nov. 5-13!! :cheer2:
First time and a little nervous as we have stayed at CSR, WL, AKL, and CBR already-never a value. We booked two rooms since there will be two adults and three kids. We were scheduled for a family trip so I can run in the Wine and Dine half and we now have a foreign exchange student!! :goodvibes We are including her in our family trip so I upgraded to two rooms (still cheaper than a room at PO that sleeps 5) I want her to enjoy but I want us all to have a great time.
Any advice for where to ask for our rooms? :goodvibes

I just realized that the mermaid section of AoA will be opened when we check into Pop on Sunday! Looks like lunch will be at Landscapes of Flavor so we can walk over and check it out!

I miss pop!

Me too :)

Two rooms will be heaven with the 5 of you! (we just did this in August). What room type have you booked?? Standard?? Assume you are requesting connecting rooms??

We favor the 50s & 60s as we like a lakeview room ... suggestions are 50s (bldg 3) and 60s (4 & 5). The 70s are very nice as well and offer lake view rooms. If you haven't already, review the 2012 map here (also included in page one of this FAQ thread. :)

:woohoo: Let's us know how it all looks!!

Me also. My ticker is just stuck. The one good thing is next Month I get to pay a big chunk if everything goes as planned.

:cheer2: Good news Kelly!!

As its going to be my first time at Disney this November im pretty unsure about everything.

Since I'm not going to have much room in my suitcase i don't really want to waste space packing a towel. Does pop supply decent size towels and can you take them down to the pool??

Going back to POP on 10/31. So excited!!!
There will be 4 of us - me, DH, DS, SIL.
This us SIL's 1st trip.

I think the towels are pretty good.

At the value resorts, yes, you need to bring your room towels to the pool. There won't be any towel supply at the pools.

You can check in the elevator area of your building to see if a rack of extra towels has been made available -- you can use these for the pools or grab more for your room.

You can certainly ask housekeeping for extra towels if you wish.

I just wanted to add that they keep extra towels in cupboards right at the front desk - guest services. We saw people request them a few different times when we were there in August, and the CMs literally turned around and pulled them out of the cupboard.

On our first day, we left a note for housekeeping to please leave extra towels for us. She put several on the shelf above the closet and kept us well stocked for our entire stay.

The towels are just bath sized towels and are not cushy quality, but they serve their function well. I sure wouldn't pack a towel in my luggage.

Counting down the days! Just got another round of toiletries for the trip. Our luggage tags are already attached, we are so ready to go! Would it be a good idea to do online check-in if we requested for a king size bed?

How much more are king beds?

DS20 and I have everything done that can be done, and the trip is still almost four weeks away. We've got our one ADR, our Photopass share, found out that American doesn't allow you to try to do standby anymore, MNSSHP dreams dashed, park schedule planned, employers notified. He's having a moment of anxiety right now -- his new band just got a spot playing at a big location in Chicago (Abbey Pub, and breaking news, Goose Island has offered them a spot) two days after we get home, so practice time is limited, but he'll figure it out. Anybody got a time compressor machine so we don't have to wait so long?

My son and I have already decided to take in a breakfast at AoA during our stay. Love Pop, but can't wait to see AoA. Love the idea of make your own smoothie bar...mmmmmm

A "make-your-own-smoothie bar"?! Oh... my family would just love this! :lovestruc We my have to plan a walk over as well... Less than 57 days to go!

There is no price difference, but there are not many rooms available with king size beds, so requesting one and getting one may or may not work out.
