Hello everyone! We arrive 2 days before our passes start. Our plane lands at 8:30am and it is the day of our daughters birthday. We are staying at Pop Century and We are renting a car for the week when we get there. What beach is the closest for us to go to on the day that we arrive?

Thanks for any advice

Not sure what passes you have, but if they are 4 or 5 day, it cost only a few $ to add on the extra 2 days. After the 4 day mark there is not much cost difference.

We have done a few things on off Disney Days, Downtown Disney on late arrival, Mideveil times dinner show $$$ better off adding the ticket days. My older kids had done the beach, Maybe an hour from the hotel, I didn't.

Cocoa Beach would be your closest. Take the Beeline (has tolls) straight east. Ron Jon's Surf shop is also there and that's always a favorite stop for my family! :cool2:

Thanks for the replies :thumbsup2 We have the free dinning package but it does not start until the Sunday. We found flights for much cheaper to go in a couple of days earlier. We are renting a car because we are going to do a day at Universal and this way we can do a little shopping as well. Do you know how long it is to drive to the beach? It was cheaper to get the car once getting to Pop then renting it at the airport from when I have priced it out, so I figure we will pick it up around 11am. Then we could be off to the beach. Any more info would be great. :goodvibes

It's about 75 minutes to cocoa beach.

If you decide you'd rather have more time at WDW, you can pick up your tickets up to 3 days early.
