we have always stayed preferred pool view but I think we may stay standard room this time to save a little. How long is the walk to the main building and to the hippy dippy pool? How far to the other pool?
What building would you recommend?

I have never stayed in a preferred pool room, but I have stayed in the 70's building and the walk to the main building was 2-3 minutes tops.

I stayed in the 80s section, building 9. It is right by the parking lot and you just walk through the parking lot and are right at the bus stop main building. I was on the parking lot side but there is a pool in the middle, I'm not sure which pool it is though. Frankly, I walked around the resort every morning and really didn't find any of the buildings that far away from the main one.

I have stayed in the 50's section preferred pool view and the 50's section standard view. The standard view is at the juke box and the preferred pool is right before the dog house (with Tramp) - I would say that it is 3 minutes between the 2 views in the 50's section. But the 50's section seems closer to everything to me vs. the 70's. Stayed at the 70's once standard and it seemed so much farther to me. So now I just always ask for the 50's section.

My only visit was a standard room, ended up in the 60s, on 5000 wing, on the side opposite of the hippy dippy. Not a bad location at all.

Another vote for the 70's. We stayed right by the small playground which was near the bus stop and main building, which is my request no matter which resort we book! It was perfect.

I've stayed in 50's, bldg 3, waaaay towards the back, third floor. You couldn't get any further away from the food court! Took me less than 5 mins to walk there. Then way over on the other side, between the parking lot and computer pool. Rubic cube area. That walk was a bit quicker.
My favorite area? 60's, bldg 4, far side, facing the lake. Quiet, peaceful and about 3 mins to the pool and food court.

We have stayed in both of the 70's buildings and two of the 50's buildings. All of our rooms seemed close to the pool and food court. I preferred the 50's location more because we had a quiet pool right there.
