That's me as well. I travel alone a lot of the time. Especially when I'm staying at a value resort, since I don't need much room. I'm heading to Pop in early Sept and would love a rehabbed room. I just did online checkin. Wonder what requests would get me the best shot at a new room.

Honestly your best bet would be to call and add a request of "refurbished room please" to your reservation.

Thanks....that's what I'm going to do. I may go back and change my online requests, and change from 60's to 90's. And call today.

As for the HC rooms, one person in my party has MS and needs to have an adjoining room but she would be very upset if she were to be given a HC room as she doesn't think she needs that just yet. I asked to make sure she was not given the HC room. Thats when the guest services person said that it would not be a problem as there would be no HC rooms due to the renos. Maybe she was trying to reassure me but that is what I was told. I'm glad they are available, some people need them and they should be ready when requested.

H/A rooms are a separate bookable category. If you did not book an HA room, likely you will not receive one. It's confusing whether you actually booked another individual into an HA room (not the person with MS) and want it adjoining to the standard room. Just know, that is only a request and while they will try to accommodate, it can't be guaranteed even for a medical request. If ability to go between rooms is vital, you should book a room type which provides for it. (Side note: adjoining is near each other, connecting has an interior door between rooms.)

Another quick question - I've heard so many different things on the bed sizes... I've heard BOTH beds are queens, then I've heard the main bed is a queen and the murphy bed is a double. Also, are the matresses pretty much the same (besides size)? I'm wondering if there's any difference in how comfortable the mattress itself is.? Thanks

I did my online check in and requested 90's and the app keeps changing to 80's, my trip is for the last week of August, I did requested over the phone for 90's and still have plenty of time to call/fax Pop directly, just wondering if someone else is having the same problem?

Yes, lots of reports of weird things happening in MDE. Just another reason why I feel it's best to skip the entire room request section during Online Check In and just call your requests in.

Mine is doing the same thing....reverting back to what I originally requested. Seems they aren't taking any chances with requests that are in the near future.

Everything I've seen that said the Murphy bed was only a double turned out to just be a guess/speculation based on the photo. From those who have been in the room and measured, the two mattresses are the same and both queens.

Thank you! Do you know if they're the same mattress? Some of our party is worried that it is a different mattress that won't be as comfortable? I don't have much for experience in murphy beds LOL

I only want to request ground floor. I can select it as an option, but it won't save my request.

Forgive me for being annoying here.... is there a timeline for completions of buildings? we're going beginning of November, so just curious what's scheduled to be done for renovations at that point...

Cannot agree! We used to have cloth curtains. When I was fed up with cleaning cloth curtains, I replaced them with glass shower door and loved my bathroom's new look! Glass curtains reduced the need for cleaning as well as noise level.

All depends on your water. With a glass door and the water where I live, you have to spray it and wipe it dry each and every time you use it to keep it clean. I can do that, My wife can most of the time do that arggghh, my kids never could double Arghhhh, and any stranger that wonders in doesn't even know they are supposed to do it. The new cloth curtains that have been prepared with scotchguard are a godsend. Take it off once a week and wash it and it is brand spanking new.

This was supposed to be in response to the reservation reverting to 80's request. lol

I wanted to stay at All Star Movies again but it wasn't part of free dining. Maybe I should've checked the box
