Not MIA - just rather quiet lately. Shirley and I will be there with bells on...and drinks in hand.

Work has NOT been going well lately. I'm in sales and can't seem to close a deal to save my soul. I finally decided that, even if I'm unemployeed, I'm still going to WDW! The trip is all paid for and I can always find another job when I get back.

Sorry to hear that work is kinda sucky for you Maybe what you NEED is a trip to WDW!!!! I think you need a vacation to relax and re-energize. When you get back home you will be back on your game

That's the other drama. MIL wont watch our kids, and my parents live in Florida!! I did tell her if she could think of anyone that she could stay with for ten days I'm all over that.

She does say she wants us to drive down there (4 days of driving, not happening, plus I get car sick - I'm not driving. Plus our car is in bad shape. Drama Drama Drama...)

I'll tell you this much is true...

I NEED A VACATION!!

it may take 14 days, by gum, but I'm taking a vacation!!

Thanks for the thoughts Kelli, I'm seriously digging too!! I have another idea What would Hermione, or Harry Potter do??? Hoping to pull on what she wants to be - leader, fearless, etc etc...

eeyore45, Harry and Hermione do a lot of things that they are scared to do. Heroes are not folks who are never afraid but folks who ARE but do it anyway and learn by doing. I am so sorry this is so hard on both of you. Has she mentioned any of her favorite Disney things that she wants to do? I made a bottle of colored water with some glitter for my oldest grandson to scare the monsters out of his room with but he was much younger. I am perplexed at a grandma that does not want to spend time with their grandchildren at all. An sort of understand those who do not want to babysit ALL the time a bit.

Kelli, my grandkids love to stay at my house. While I am sure it has more to do with all the great 'toy's" and a/c I flatter myself that they like me a bit too. The youngest one comes to my house i the summer to learn stuff and he enjoys seeing how many days in a row he can con his parents into letting him stay in a row.

I am 400 miles closer and about 200 miles away from DW now. I will be sitting on the beach at the Poly tomorrow night, after dinner at O'Hana's, to watch the fireworks over the Castle and then my mandatory sighting of the EWP.

Monday I will be wandering MK and maybe sharing a parade with Bon??

No internet again unless I get withdrawal and then I will go to Kinko's in a few days. I hope I do not miss out on too much and will be looking for massive amounts of lime green everywhere! I brought my own personal can of corn too!

Just wanted to check in and say "we're leaving Friday" The rest of yall will probably be there next week.

My poster is almost done but I don't like it. My DS messed it up so I guess I'm gonna have to buy another poster board and start all over I'm just glad I didn't put the finishing touches on it. Well, at least I got my packing done. I just have 2 shirts I have to iron for DS13 and that's it I got a lot of stuff done this weekend and I'm getting so excited I couldn't go to sleep last night. I probably fell asleep around 1am. I know the day before we leave I probably won't sleep at all. If I do doze off, I'll probably wake up every hour on the hour wondering if it's time to get up yet. Anybody else get insominia before their trip?

I know I'm getting too excited to type straight!! I am, again, beginning to feel guilty about leaving DS home. He laughs at me when I say it because he REALLY doesn't want to go. But I still feel badly spending vacation $$ without him.

Katie's audition is all set. Her friend, in the College Program, will pick her up at POP around 1PM the day we arrive and drive her to the rehearsal studio. I SOOO want to go with her but am going to hang back and probably go to Epcot. If anyone is planning to be in the Epcot area the afternoon of the 21st and is willing to babysit a very nervous, semi-old Mom, please let me know!!!

My packing is just about done. I picked up the last of the toiletry stuff this weekend and slapped a couple of LGMH's on my Door Board (NOT artsy-craftsy at all!!) Katie is only working weekends at Six Flags now so she promised to start packing next week. God Forbid she part with a few outfits early!!

Need something to keep me busy for the next 11 days.

I used a special spray can as monster spray as well - it was "Industrial strength" a lysol type product, but generic, so it wasnt a brand the kids had seen on tv - and the smell made them confident it was working!! DD didnt have monsters... this all reminds me of a prayer for the children I read at a conference for leaders in the church called prayer for the children (it has since been used and associated with the Columbine Tragedy - you can google it and find it...) the one line _____ ... God Bless the children who's monsters are real...

Lots of Halloween treatments are out to use for doors and windows!!

I feel you on that one. My DS13 couldn't make up his mind on what he wanted to wear. I've been telling him all week to figure out what he wanted to pack but he wasn't helping me any. So finally I went in his room and just started grabbing stuff. He changed his mind on different outfits at least 3 times. This boy had to look on his calendar to see what day he wore what. He actually writes this stuff down I told him nobody knows him down there but it doesn't matter. So we finally got it all together and then last night he tells me he thinks he wants to change an outfit. I told him he better not touch that suitcase!! Teenagers..... ugh. I hate to see if he was a girl

I got a lot of stuff done this weekend and I'm getting so excited I couldn't go to sleep last night. I probably fell asleep around 1am. I know the day before we leave I probably won't sleep at all. I get terrible insomnia before a trip so I get a free sample of Luminesta from the doctor for the night before

I'm here sister friend and feeling Wonderful !! Had an awesome weekend in RENO, we are big PBR fans (professional bull riding) so we went to two events. I also won $600 bucks on Dollar slots !!

ME TOO! This is the second year in a row we left DS(16) home. Last year he said he didn't want to go and my DS and I took my parents. We wanted to go again since this will be DD last September break (only elementary has a Sept break). He says he doesn't care, but I feel sooo quilty. DD and I are always talking about it or watching Disney on the travel channel. DS will say "When are you leaving again?", like he can't wait for us to leave. He says Disney doesn't have enough thrill rides and the ones they have are spaced too far apart. I just can't imagine anyone NOT wanting to go so still feel quilty!
