hey guys who is planning to book the free dining deal when your at disney .. My hubby told us that we are going to book it
what week is everyone planning on booking next year?

My dh gave me the go ahead, too, so we are SO booking. Though not sure we'll be able to swing it, I'd rather have it and cancel than not have and not be able to get it.

If things look promising, we'll be upgrading to AP's, so dates will have to be such that we finish the return trip before our check in date this year (9/22). That didn't make sense, but I'm sure you know what I mean. So we're looking at booking Sat Sept 6-Sat Sept 20. At least we'll have something on the books (and on the countdown ticker!).

We're some of the last to leave, so I have a feeling things are going to get pretty lonely around here. Godspeed everyone, and see you soon!

Hi, everyone!

We leave here the 21st. We are driving down after work. It is about 6 or 7 hours. We will check into an off site hotel for the night and then check into POP on the 22nd. So, I'll be one of the last ones leaving also. It probably will get pretty quiet though, cause I'm gonna be too busy w/ work and packing to get online much.

I caught a cold last week! I'm taking lots of meds, drinking juice, and trying to get as much rest as I can. It BETTER go away before time to leave!!!

DH and I had said after DragonCon that we DEFINITELY needed to start walking to prep for the trip! But, with me being sick we have yet to start. Today I told him that since we are the youngest (and therefore in the best shape ) that maybe it is a good idea Not to get into shape.... That way we might be more likely to slow down w/ the "old folks" Not sure how that game plan is gonna work though I talked to MIL (who doesn't work) Sunday. I asked if she has been walking at all and she said No it's too hot. I said what about in the evening when it cools down. She said then the bugs will bite me I said well, you know it's gonna be hot in Florida too. To which she replied I'll be sure I have plenty of water I just wanna ask her how exactly that is gonna help her feet and legs hold up? Whatever, I tried to prepare her.

I can't wait to get to Disney!!! And to meet all my WONDERFUL new friends!!

I am hardly getting any work done these days! And I don't have insomnia YET, but if I keep checking in here you guys are definitely going to rub off on me! I need my sleep to get better, too!

If you live in Macon, it should only take you about 5 hours to drive down. I'm about an hour from you and it's gonna take me about 6. Then again, we're not stopping other than to get gas and use the restroom. We're gonna pack a lunch so we won't waste any unnecessary time. The sooner I get to Pop, the happier I'll be

Today is my last day at work Tomorrow I'll be able to do my last bit of running around. Gotta get my mani and pedi, take the boys for a haircut, drop my cat off, last bit of cleaning and I'll be all set to go. I have all the luggage in the livingroom waiting to go. Then Fri morning, I'll go pick up the minivan, come home and load it, then we're hitting the road. If I don't get a chance to come back on here, see you all at the party. Glad you found us we are meeting at the Hippy Dippy Pool ont eh eveing of the 22nd.. around 9 p.m, some are arriving later. We will have adult Bevi's to enjoy EVERYONE is required to wear something that GLOW's so that we can identify each other. Dollar Tree has great Glow stuff right now.. We've started packing, and I plan to finish by Saturday. I'm hoping I don't have to ship a box, and I can just get it all to fit in our luggage without going overweight. I'll know this week.

I didn't know they still made those. With everything being so digital now, everyone uses their debit or credit card or the old fashioned way of paying for something: cash.

I never use a debit card, spent too many years in Cust Serv fixing problems to feel safe with them. I suppose I could just put everything on my Disney Visa. I pay it off each month anyway but I like to control my spending a little & cash does that. Can't carry hundreds of $ in cash, so Travelers Checks it is!! I usually cash $50 or so at the resort desk per day. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. I am BIG on saving for vaca. This year, thanks to DH & some long hours, I didn't even have to touch what I saved for the trip. So next year's trip is also paid for already!!

she started working on plans, we bought a costume... but then this morning it started again!! "I AM NOT goiing on a plane, I CANT, you dont understand".... grrrr...

we watched mythbusters they had the episode on sea sickness - so she was excited about what stopped them throwing up (ginger) then we watched travel channel shows on disney...

but today - she freaked out!!

(our plane will leave bright and early also - maybe she'll still be asleep!! )
