POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

DH goes to Laconia every year! Originally from Berlin & has family in the area. Took DS when he was 14, what an education!!!!! He'll be going up on Thursday. Unfortunately I hate to ride. But the new bike did get me a 10 WDW trip last year!! This year, I just booked it. He's going to Daytona in Feb so I didn't get any arguments (Sure Honey! Whatever you want!)

Shoes: I take Tevas, sneakers & a nicer pair of sandals, then switch out every day. This way, any hots spots get 2 days off. I also swear by moleskin.

Bag: I bought a teardrop style from Target last year. It's small but holds the camera, ibuprofen, a small wallet, park maps. I also take a small Liz Claiborne purse that has a long shoulder strap. Also fits camera & ibuprofen, has compartments for CC, KTTW & other wallet type stuff. I go back & forth between these two depending on how much stuff I need with me that day. The bag holds more than the purse. I NEVER WEAR A FANNY PACK!!!! Saw a picture of me with one - NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Just wanted to alert you all of the photopass swap over on the Budget Board for the month of September. So, if you want to share a photopass, go over there and put your name in. It's a lot better deal than buying one on your own! Alicia, you are actually in my group...I will be sending something out soon.

I went to Laconia once before about 13 years ago and it was definitely an EXPERIENCE This is the first time that DH has offered me to come up for a few days before the majority of his buddies show up. Hopefully I will have some good stories when I get back

Me too! I was just showing DH and for the first time he seemed excited! He was talking about what to bring for juice and discussing how many people there were going to be! Matt getting excited makes me even MORE excited!

Yes. We're basically all jumping up and down over here waiting for the 3 months to be over.

My dad showed his first signs of excitement the other day. He made a calendar counting down all 105 days we have left.

There is a new one that says "YOMD free resort upgrade", I guess disney is trying to free up some room in the values so there upgrading to SSR and OKW, They notify you via email so check your emails to see if you get a code from disney! They will not do any upgrading if you booked threw a TA-'Iv already tried

Anyway just thopught you might wanna check it out!

I agree with you 100% I am a DVC member and those two resort have the least Disney feel of them all Now if they were offering WL I would jump

Hi Binky and Keli~I am glad to hear that you didnt like Those resorts cause I was kinda bumed that we would not have the chace to get picked since we booked threw TA. They looked like really nice rooms However, I have never been to POP and I am REAL excited to be there. So I wouldnt have known what to do if I did get picked anyway

I know those resorts offer WAY more but I don't feel like I am at Disney at any of those. Not that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at either property but I have seen pics.

Now I have eaten at restaurants at both WL and AKL and have toured the resorts and those place are both BEAUTIFUL and have a Disney FEEL to them.

I guess when I stay at the Values I feel like I am already in one of the parks with the amount of people and the icons and the food courts and store.

AND THAT IS NOT MY CHEAP SIDE TALKING EITHER
