POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Eva- To pay through paypal, got to www.paypal.com and sign up for an account, this requires a bank account or CC. Then click send money and put in mrwinkler@psci.net as the person you are sending to. If you or anyone else has a problem with this, let me know, I can PM my address and you can snail mail it too.

Okay, I've talked to my mom, and she's at work so she can't do it right now, but that sounds great. She'll do it as soon as she gets home. And she'll take whatever you'd like to give her, it doesn't matter between 16 or 17.

Also, she'd like to know if you guys need anything else for the party? We're ordering groceries and stuff, so anything else you guys need?

:)

Hey sweetie  Have mom grab a gallon of some kind of juice to add to the Punch that should work out good... I can't wait to see you all "GLOWED" with all those necklaces you can wrap your legs and arms, make glasses:3dglasses and hang them from your ears :upsidedow :rotfl:

Okay, we'll bring some juice. Sounds like this punch is going to very interesting tasting. :] But I'm sure it will be delicious.

Oh yeah, I can't wait to see myself all decked out in glowy stuff. *lmao*

I'm a total DIS geek, and got hooked on the crocs and baggallini last trip. I'm thinking this year, I may have to go all out and make them lime green!

My 2 kids are also full-time croc-ers, but my dh got a couple of blisters last year, so had to switch to sneakers (nike, of course, being from the NW), except on AK day.

As for the baggallini, that up front cell phone pocket is the greatest invention ever. Before I had it, I'd miss half of my dh's calls because I couldn't hear my phone in the backpack over the park noise. Plus the bag slides to the front for rides, so I don't have to constantly take it on and off.

Come on double digits!

Wouldn't you think the baggallini would make you even more hot cause your wearing it across your body? Have you had any issues with that?

Okay I'll bite,,, What is a Baggallini :confused3

I think that is the one that everyone gets on the DIS. Can anyone confirm?

When it's really hot and humid, it can get a little sweaty in your, um, cleavage. But it's small and light and I've never felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to take it off. It's more like when I first take it off, I notice that I'm a bit sweaty (or glowing, as they used to say, and seems especially appropriate here).

That be the one. Mine is mango colored. It's the only bag I carry anywhere anymore. They also have one that's $5 cheaper (same style, different nylon--"ripstop" vs. "crinkle," whatever that means) that comes in lime here:

That's the version I may upgrade to for the next trip, unless I end up sporting a DIS fannypack. You're my hero, BabyPiglet--I knew I'd seen those things somewhere, but couldn't find the site. Thanks!

Happy shopping!

I'd love to buy a baggalini.

I tend to switch off between sneakers and tevas (which I bought for our 2st trip 7yrs ago and are still going strong). I'm also shopping right now for a pair of crocs. The Chicklet makes Imelda Marcos look frugal. She's shoe obsessed. I'll probably need a suitcase just for her shoes. We also pack gobs of anti-blister type stuff because we are truly park commandos. I actually thought we were a pretty laid back bunch until I started planning this year's trip and really looked at our plans - we open and close parks most days. I'm actually forcing myself to plan in more hotel time this trip.

For a bag, for the family trips, I made each kid wear a fanny pack with held their kidcot passport, pen and autograph book, poncho, and pennies/quarters for pressed pennies and a water bottle lanyard. DH and I would switch off carrying a backpack (actually the Espirit backpack I've used daily for about 10yrs) which held water, wallet, camera, and often everyone's sweatshirts. I think for our 1st 2-3 trips we had a stroller, which means we really put everything in there with the Chicklet.

By the 4th trip, she was big enough to walk all day, so we did learn to lighten the load a little.

This trip, I'm going to shoot for going really light. We'll probably still use Esprit backpack, toss 2 water bottles in, lanyard with KTTW, credit credit card, and camera. I'm also getting a Pal Mickey for the Chicklet, so I expect he'll come along. The bag is big enough for us to toss in a sweatshirt for the evenings if the weather turns cooler.

That's the plan anyway.

Always ;-)

Aksunshine the money has been sent. Can't wait to glow up the pop!!!

I want a glow icon.

Thanks Eva! For the Siggie, ask Jenny to help you, or go back about 5 pages, somewhere there are instructions. (I'm kinda a computer doofus!)

OK, I just checked, there really weren't "instructions" per say. But I do remember what I did. If you right click on one of the pics and save it to your picture file on your computer. Then go to your account and "edit" signature, there is a place toward the bottom to upload it into your siggie! Hope that helped!

Alicia - I sent you my money. I'd like 17 if that is cool w/ everyone. the more the merrier :thumbsup2

I usually wear tennis shoes anywhere I can. My parents have gotten Crocs over the last 6 months or so and LOVE them. I have heard wonderful things here too, so I think I will buy a pair. I will probably switch between them and the tennies. Does anyone have any of the styles other than the basic? Mom has the sandals (cleo) and likes them. I like to have a strap around the back of my ankles though (and not too fond of the original). Dad has the Islanders (I think), he wears them everyday. I think the mary janes look neat, but I've not seen them in person. OOOHHHH... just looked on the Crocs website and they are coming out w/ a Disney Pirate croc!! and they have a Disney croc! Cool! Any thoughts on the Croc style dilemma?

On bags, We carry a regular bookbag. I don't remember the brand right now. It's like a Jansport, but a bit cheaper. (had a Jansport I loved, but it got stolen :sad2: ) We put our resort mugs(sealed in ziplocs, of course), water bottles, camera, extra ziplocs (for whatever), ponchos, extra socks, moleskin, ibuprofen, money, etc in it and trade off carrying it.

I REFUSE to wear a fanny pack!! The whole increasing the size of my waist/butt thing just ain't happening!! I wouldn't want it in all my pictures either. Besides all my junk wouldn't fit in a fanny pack :rolleyes1

Well, have a great day tomorrow everyone!! hmmm... considering I haven't packed yet and we leave for the beach right after work Friday... I might should say, Have a great Week + !!! I might not make it back to the boards before hitting the road. Then I will have no phone or internet for a week :cloud9: :cloud9: I will Miss Dis and all you guys, but not the work related stuff that comes along w/ being reachable.

See ya! Don't have too big a party while I'm gone :thumbsup2

Eva - thought I would simplify the siggie thing for you a bit. Just copy this into your siggie and change the { & } to [ & ]

Enjoy!

aksunshine...I sent you the 10.00 yesterday threw paypal (befor I knew that we added on a person). If its okay with everyone I will just take 17 necklaces and you keep the change (not much I know), for all your hard work and putting this whole thing together:flower3: Let me know if you got the payment okay. Thanks again!

anyone know any websites that sell used halloween costumes?

My mom paid 8.50, so you can give us how ever many you want.

Thanks guys, I'll change my mom's signature tomorrow. :upsidedow

Good Morning! (intercom in your head)*alert*alert* Disers quickly approaching the 100 day mark *alert* *alert*

:cool1:  :wizard:

I'm sorry Becky I didn't see your post earlier.

So Necklace girls, if when I add Becky to our little group we now have 6. So I divided 100 by 6 and we would have 2 who would get 16 and 4- 17. Is that OK? I think in this case we can do our cost a liitle differently. The necklaces individually are .48 a piece, 16 would be $7.68, and 17 would be $8.16. If you wanna round up, that is OK. I hope this works alright for everyone!:goodvibes

PS- No question is ever stupid!;)

Hi Alicia! I sent a payment to ya...Thank you for all your hard work on this!

We wear tennis shoes/sandals switching them out every once in a while.

My mom, is making me wear a fanny pack. :[

I'd like to wear this gray cross body bag I bought, but we'll see how that goes. She said I could take it to WDW for the plane ride, and too put the extra candy in on MNSSHP night. So we'll see. :]

We got out MNSSHP tickets yesterday. They're so beautiful. :p

Jenni - What kind of sandals do you wear? I am trying to look for something that is NOT a Croc.

Have a great time, Amber!

I leave on Sunday to head to Laconia, NH for Biker week. DH rents a house for the week with a couple of other guys near the strip. I can go up for the first part of the week but NO GIRLS ALLOWED after Wednesday :rotfl2:

They're brown, pretty no-name. We bought them at WALMART. EarthWalk or something like that. I haven't put them on yet, but they look pretty comfy. I'm waiting for the right time to break them in.

I'm with ya, I don't want to wear Crocs either. But to me, they're not as comfy as everyone says. Granted I've only ever wore them for about 5 minutes walking around the shoe store. But still, to me, they're nothing special. Not to mention they're not the most stylish things around.

I have to agree with you on that one.. but I do find them comfy:cloud9: I just can't bring myself to pay $40 for lime green ones :sad2:

Morning everyone :grouphug:

Someone just tell me what to bring for the party, and if its within reason :goodvibes i can bring it!
