Hi all,

I haven't been on much, work has beent aking most the time. But time seems to be flying, we have about two months before we go. I hate to hear about the ones that has to cancel their trip, I know what you are going thru. We were going to go during free dining two years ago and it fell thru. I had the reservations and the MNSSp tickets, then had to cancel. I finally worked a second job at Walmart for almost a year to pull the this trip off. Then at the first jos we started working so much overtime I had to give up the second job. The first job does not pay overtime gives comp time. I have so much time off not sure what I will do with it all. Anyways, since I have not had the second job I am getting worried about spending money. The package with free dining and air fare is already paid in full. How much money will we need for 15 night trip? We are going to seaworld one day (tickets already paid for) but still need transporation. What is the lowest that we would be safe to take?

I have but not sure what we will want to buy. I know we need the transporation, refillable mugs and money for Jenny. I don't think I will spend much a couple keychains or magnets, cap and t-shirt for DH. But who knows I might end up spending lot more. I was thinking at least $50 a day since food was already paid for. Does that sound about right? Jenny will have separate money.

Well I have some good news. I got my catering paycheck for last week and it was more than I expected soooo I did it...I paid off my trip!!! i'm so excited (and relieved!) I could have just made a payment and paid the balance in 2 weeks when I get my next check but I'm just so tired of worrying about it so I just paid it all. I'm so EXCITED! 59 days to go...

Hello, everyone!

I paid off our trip last Sunday :woohoo: put it on the credit card (we pay it off in full every month). I have a cash back card that I've been saving up my cash back on... I ordered the check the other day and I had enough cashback to pay for MIL's portion of the trip plus some :woohoo:

I'm so sorry to hear that Tammi won't be joining us! I would be SO upset if we ended up not being able to go after all the planning that I've done! Hope everyone else is able to find ways to pull their trips off!!! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

Think I'm gonna have to go out shopping this afternoon and see if I can find some glow stuff for Disney too!

I am REALLY EXCITED!!! :yay: :yay: I can't wait!!

We need to all start doing some walking (even if you aren't trying to lose weight) to prepare for all the walking we will be doing in 2 months!! :cool1:

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hi guys! I had a foster care class all day today and now Im getting ready 4 my nieces b-day but wanted to stop by and say HI! I will be on later tonite. BTW Im trying to talk my neighbor and her son to come to WDW when we go---she acts excited so far so we may be adding a couple more people to our party

heath-and-javens-mom, Are you going into foster care? We was foster parents for about a year a couple years ago.

From the looks of things there will be loads of Disney kids for me to play with at the meet. I love kids! Bring some books and "The Reading Lady" will read to them, whether they want it or not!! :rotfl2:

I admire those of you who are able to foster. If they come to my house I want to keep them so I have never been able to do that although I still have a lot of kids who wander in and out from time to time. Some of them are the children of the kids who used to hang out here when they were children themselves. Gosh, I am old! Will be even older on Wednesday.

GLOW??? I have been called a "Blooming Idiot" will that do?? :lmao: I have a whole purse full of glow in the dark bracelets for the kids who I watch parades with so I will wear one or two myself but doubt that anyone will have a hard time knowing I am one of YOU!!:dance3:

heath-and-javens-mom, Are you going into foster care? We was foster parents for about a year a couple years ago.

Hi,
We have done foster care for a year or so...we just had to get in our recert. points. I actually enjoyed this class on rebellion though.popcorn::

Why did you decide to quit, If you dont mind me asking? I am thinking of maybe not getting any foster kids during the summer (starting next summer ofcourse), just do foster during the school year. This way MY kids will have some alone time with just US. I just worry about how they feel about us fostering...they say they dont mind it, but would they really tell me if it did bother them-ya know?:confused3

Slightly Goofy - you sound like you will fit right in! I'm a BIG kid at heart..so I too love to play with the kids. I don't have my own yet to enjoy watching at Disney.... So I will have to enjoy watching everyone elses kids enjoy the magic!!

I went to the store today and got some glow in the dark stuff!! I bought a box of glow stick neckaces and three pair of glow stick earrings (for me, MIL, and Mom... but I'm not sure MIL's ears are pierced so I may have an extra pair). I had previously gotten glow mouths :confused3 and I'm in on the group that got the glow braclets or necklaces from here (I don't remember which it was?). SO... I think my group will be thoroughly decked out and GLOWING brightly :jester: PLUS I should have plenty of extras to share and to pass out at parades, etc :cool1: :cool1: Looking forward to spreading a little PD this time :goodvibes

I was trying to think while in the store, where all will I have glow stuff... mouth, ears, neck, wrists.... where else can I put some.... Later I came up with the idea that I can put the glow sticks in my Crocs!! and maybe hang them from my short pockets! :dance3: Gonna be REAL hard to miss me :rotfl2:

:lmao: Amber! You are going to look like you are glowing from the inside out!! They are necklaces BTW.

Well, gilrs, I've busied myself reading Tanya, Serina, Farrah, Amanda, and someone else... Sarah maybe? Pretrip Reports! I have also been busy with my own! It's been fun and it is great getting ideas from friends!

h&j'smom, you're really doing a wonderful thing for these kids, but I know how it feels to need time with your parents. I think your idea is good, that way your kids get to have some one on one time. Also it will give you a break so you don't go crazy! :p

May I ask, what is the average number of foster kids in your home at one time?

I am once again contemplating on why the most valuable people in our society are valued the least.

It seems to me that a bit of extra money spent in the beginning of a problem is worth much more than the bucketfuls hurled later in life.

There is no more precious asset to our society than our children and the people who are willing to take them in and give them love along with the basics of life deserve support.

Thank you all for what you do!

Foxfiregrrl, since I never got the chance to be a kid when I was young I try to make up for lost time now. Trust me, I do not require anything glowing to make an impression. I am a character and not apt to change any. I love all kinds of people do not feel the need to have them agree with me or be anything in particular. I learn much from differences and would be totally bored with folks exactly like me (not that there are likely to be many as I am odd and proud of it).

heath-and-javens-mom. I pm'ed you.

We wish her a Happy Birthday

Everyone else
Good morning

This is MrsPiglet, Jenny put way too much information in this thread so I PMed heath-and-javens-mom the exact answer Jenny gave. Considering this is a public message board, Jenny had too much personal information. So big bad Momma changed it.
