POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

That's great Sarah! I bet John is pretty relieved too!

I must hang my head in shame and admit I never told him.

He doesn't deal with the ins and outs of either trip planning or credit card management, and he would have freaked. I will probably bring it up now that it's resolved. Whew.

Other business: My BIL still does not have permission from his bosses to go with us. We are still hopeful they will change their minds.

ILs told me to book when I did...I had no idea he wasn't allowed to take his vacation any time he wanted. Still say it's shady to give someone 10 days vacation and require them to use them only on shut-down days. Hmph.

Also - my mom thinks her kidney stones are acting up. Oh bother.
I hope they go away by Sept.!
She is supposedly sending in her final payment today. Well, that's why we got insurance.

On brighter news, my MIL is starting to ask questions and get all geeked about the trip. That gets me more geeked and we're all geeky together!!!

What have you done today to infuse the Mouse into your lives?

So far today .. we've watched our Disney vacation on video from 2005 .. I've also started the kids singing their countdown song ...



Cute huh?

and of course the only tv viewing option is Playhouse Disney or Disney movies lol... all the only videos were packed away long time ago.

Poor kids don't know how I'm manipulating them to love Disney hehe .. I figure they'll get more out of the experience if they are REALLY looking forward to going to DISNEY and not just on a trip .. like if they are super familiar with all the characters and we've hyped up us going for so long they will be extra thrilled when we go I think ..

So what have you guys done? Maybe we can all pick up different ideas from each other to use ourselves

We are not staying at POP Century but will be right down the road at the Sports for nearly the whole month of September. We are supposed to be at EPCOT on the 22nd but one never knows what might happen so I made a note of your meet and if we can I might "pop" by for some of that rainbow colored cheesecake and meet or renew acquaintance with some of you loverly people.

I hear all of you regarding the money & paying off the last of our trips...I'm totally in the same boat. We came up to Alaska for the summer because my husband was supposed to have a job up here...well, we left Oregon got up here & then the company he was going to work for decided to keep on the person who was supposed to retired. It's definitely put us in a hard situation all summer long. I work for a college so I'm off until mid-Sept. and so we have had no income coming in for the last 2 months. Our savings is down to zero & I still have to pay about $500 for the rest of our trip...so stressful!! Luckily, I talked to my parents yesterday & they are going to help us & then we have to try & pay them back in a few months. I was so sad thinking I was going to have to cancel our trip, especially since I planned the whole trip for the purpose of celebrating Hunter's 1st birthday.

Anyway...I can't believe how close we are! I'm getting really anxious & feel like I need to start getting things ready. I totally want to start packing LOL

We CAN pay off our trips girls! Have Faith!!!!

On Serina's que- I went to Target today and found (in the dollar spot, mind you) Disney snack bags! I got one set of Cars and one of Princess. Each cames with 20 Sandwich and 10 Snack bags, ziploc style!!! I am so excited!!! I plan to have a snack basket in our room and let the kids take 2 a day. That way we can use our snack credits for ice cream sandwiches from Main St to have during Spectro and the like. Plus, they'll have something to keep them busy. I'll offer trail mix, raisins, granola bars, gummies, and cheerio bars (like rice crispies). I also started planning for Isabelle's first day back in school AFTER Disney (don't worry Kelli, I'll bite my tounge in just a sec! LOL!) I plan to put goody bags together for the kids! Cute video!


Sorry Kelli, I had to tell! BTW, have a WONDERFUL camping trip!!!
