POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

I'M GO'IN TO DISNEYWORLD !!!!!

I am so happy that I am going to get to meet you all :grouphug: Doctor said that my brain is normal but I am wired differently then others:scared: I was born without the main artery that supplies the blood to the back of my brain:eek: BUT my body compensated for it over the years and made its own path:angel: Where there is a will there's a way :yay: . I do have some guide lines that I have to follow.. I have to wear a hat in direct sun :cool2: . And no Roller Coasters... I can live with that:cheer2:

I will be flying to the University of Min. after vactions for more extensive testing..

I always knew I was a little strange !!!:sad2: ;) :rotfl:

Sooo happy to hear your good news.
But I agree with others, that most of us Disney people are "wired differently.
Can't wait to see you and congratulate you in person.

 KELI! SO glad to hear the great news!!! You have been on here since the begining for me and I want you to know that I am sooo very happy that you are okay... wired differently-thats okay...as long as they didnt say wired wrong.:goodvibes Doing the happy dance 4 u!!!:dancer:

My DN Gregory is really getting into the "glow" spirit. He is looking at everything around the house to see if it glows...and if it does figure out how he can get more of them down to Disney to share with everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone in 3 weeks from tomorrow!!!! Can you believe it??? :cool1:

Oh no, bad news. Looks as if the GLOW curse is with my family now. My grandmother may have to have surgery [not a complex surgery, it's pretty simple]. We're not sure when, it may be before our trip or after. If it's during our trip then we'll have to postpone it. If it's a week before, and she's doing good, we might still go and just worry the whole time. If she does have to do it then it will be soon, sometime in the next two months.

Of course I'll be a little sad, but there's no way I'm going to Disney while my grandmother is in surgery.

Hmm.

 I hope your grandmother's surgery goes well and I really do hope you can still make it to Disney as scheduled! :wizard: Sending pixie-dust your way! And that last line...what a great grandaughter you are!!
Keep us updated. :goodvibes

DS has been on the computer most of the evening and I missed a Ding!!!! It would have saved another $30 on airfare. Ok, it's not much but I am CHEAP!!!! I hate paying more than I have to. Hope it comes out again!!!!

How many more sleeps mommy?!?!?!

BabyPiglet, you are a sweetheart. When I have surgery no one even notices. Heck my husband even forgot to pick me up from the hospital once. Guess I just have a reputation for being self reliant. Luckily, I am.

I did the dump run this morning, cleaned the garage floor, swept the truck out, washed the cans. So much fun I can barely stand it. :dance3:

Less than a week to go. I am contemplating leaving a day early. I am always sorry when I do cause I get to DW a day early and am scrambling to get a room at the last minute. I could be reasonable and just drive 3-400 miles the first day and about the same the second and get into DW mid morning the third, having plenty of time to unload (by myself), check in, and even rest up before our planned evening at the Poly. See ya on the beach!!

Free hugs for everyone who wants one very soon!! :grouphug:

:wizard: for grandma's surgery..

Have I mentioned in this thread I have a cousin about my age in the hospital, pretty much on life support - aorta dissection... she's lived longer than anyone else in that hospital - she has brain function according to eeg... just so terribly sad...

Lynda - sure I cant ship dd your way so she can "thumb" a ride down to wdw??? (and I'm self reliant too, dh dropped me off at the hospital for the "female removal surgery" and had DS pick me up!! :rotfl2: out patient - to be fair DH ahd to take other DS to an audition!!)

Still working her - now, she's working us... "I'll go on a plane if you buy me a wii" :rotfl2: today's "I'll go to WDW if you buy me a dog" (I always say "yes" sometimes I qualify, "but then you wont get spending money...or you wont get to pick a pearl" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I just realized she keeps picking things she knows without a doubt we'd say "no" to, but I say "YES" :rotfl2:

She may be catching on we're going!! :rotfl2:

Sorry to confuse anyone - Back last year I had surgery and DS had an audition for college - he's a music major and had to audition with his Bassoon to get in the program!

Awww, thanks SG! You are so lucky, getting to stay so long at WDW! Are you staying at POP the whole time?

Oh thank you so much. Pixie Dust for your cousin. I hope your DD starts gettin' in the mood. How old is she?

DD is ten (she'll celebrate 11th bday 27th in disney - fingers crossed!)

Thanks to a couple of dis'ers letting their dd email my dd - we're working on her!! She's still not sure about the whole plane thing.. but today...

"can you PROMISE I wont throw up?" awwww :grouphug:

Jenny, sorry to hear about your grandmother. Hope all goes well with her.

SG, where will you be staying at? Are you moving around from resort to resort. I wish I could stay in DW for almost a month.

Your daughter is too funny trying to bribe you with gifts. At least it sounds like she's starting to come around. If she's flown many times before and everything went well, just remind her that it was just one incident out of many that things went wrong.

I have just about talked myself into leaving Friday and taking it a bit slower going down. We shall see.:thumbsup2

minnieandme, we just stay at the Sports. I live in a huge house that I work on constantly and it is so relaxing to just live in a box without a lot of 'stuff'. We just sleep and bathe there and are out and about the rest of the time. Very different from my 'real' life. Some day you WILL stay as long as your heart desires. One day I will be too old to go and will be reading YOUR trip reports and envying you. :)

eeyore45, I am no longer worried about your dd. :cool1: If she is able to fly IF she receives a bribe she will be just fine. She might have a bit of air sickness though. I hope not. How long has your cousin been in the hospital? That is so very sad.

BabyPiglet, I have a sister named Jennie. Of coure since I have six sisters I have a sister named most everything. Have you ever heard of a poem named "Jenny Kissed Me"? My mom asked me to look it up for her once. My favorite poet is Ogden Nash. I am an odd duck. How did your grandma do today? My youngest grandson who spends a lot of time with me seldom calls as he does not like the phone, unlike his older brother (16) who calls me pretty much daily but when I am in Florida he calls nearly every day. Guess he misses me?? :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is having a good nights sleep or getting ready to. I am going to mow the lawn tomorrow as it has not rained in so long.

SG/Linda

Linda - glad you're not worried!! I think I've played it right - first by not telling her till Sept 1!! But all the while longingly talking about disney - watching the Travel channel Disney show, with tears in my eyes!! Begging her to "just come - the two of us , lets go!!" Then introducing her to Dis'ers girls - Showing her all the remedies for air sickness (dramamine, ginger, and nausea meds - and that wrist bracelet!!)

Now I'm leaving her alone!! She'll ask, I'll answer!! We'll see - until that last week before we go - I'm thinking of packing her stuff 2 days before we go!! She'll wear an outfit and I'll think - that's perfect for Disney! :rotfl2:

My cousin has been in the hospital less than a week... no news yet today - I'm sure to hear later...
