Pop Century is Far Out!

We're staying there this Christmas and I'm curious about the bus service. I wonder if they'll have their own or have to share, and , if so, with which resort?

Due to it's massive size, Pop Century will only share with Pop Century. (ie: Once the Legendary section opens up)

Pop Century will open up with 2880 rooms, which is about one and a half All-Stars.

Do you know when the Legendary section will open? Will it have it's own check in area, food court ....?

The Legendary section will be laid out exactly like the Classic section. It will have it's own check in area, food court, pools, etc. (It will be like All-Star Sports and Music... separate resorts, but under the same name)

As for when it will open, I have no idea.

Those aerial photos are great!

I had heard a rumor you could walk to MGM from Pop Century. Is that true?

No. Pop Century is not within walking distance of anything, including Caribbean Beach. (Unless you use the Cast Only tunnel)

Just made ressies for Christmas for $49 per night. Really looking forward to our stay after this wonderful information. Thanks Tyler!

I wonder if I can get commission?? :teeth:

Thanks for the bus info, Tyler. Your answer was just what I wanted to hear. We're not big bus riders but we're traveling with my father who adores them!
One reason I chose this resort over others is that we have a car and it's so convenient to offsites restaurant we like -- another good way to save money.:D

Thanks for the great review! Looking forward to checking this place out someday...

Thanks Tyler for the very detailed report!!! It's still hard to find much info on Pop Century so we really appreciate you doing this for us. We'll be there in June and your report just adds to the excitement.

Thanks again!!!
Carla

Just made ressies for Christmas for $49 per night. >>>

Do you mind if I ask where you got that rate? It's awesome

:D We got $127 for NYE and $68.50 for the next 3 nights. Might add some nights if I could get a rate like that!

I can't wait to stay here. I booked our room for Feb :)

Hi Tyler, we can always count on you for great info!! Can you tell us anything about the decor of the rooms? I stayed at ASMo for the first time a week ago, and found the decor of the rooms to be too loud after all the stimulation of the parks. What do you know about PC's?

The rooms were very subdued in comparison to the All-Stars. All the rooms will be exactly alike, with two differences for era. The wallpaper border at the top of the wall, along with the framed theme art will change with the era. Otherwise, all rooms will be alike. The TV entertainment center/dresser was wood patterned.

The room was very nicely styled, and went along with the Pop Century colors -- interiors are very earthy. Lots of browns, blues, grays, and some mustards. The colors work well together, and you won't have to worry about the room being too loud.

Thanks Tyler. By the way, when I was there last week, I was checking out every bus driver's name badge to see if either one was you! LOL. Alas, I never ran into you....

You caught my attention with the fitted sheets. How nice not to have to remake your bed every night so that the bottom sheet isn't totally loose within ten minutes. Yeah!

Thanks for the info! Ever since my DS saw a flyer for this resort he has been telling me that he wants to stay at "The Big Wheel" hotel! I am in the process of planning a trip for Dec 11 - 15, I hope we get a chance to go take a peak on the 14th!

That's quite a review. It all sounds good. We stayed once at All Star Music when it was new & loved it.
Thanks.
