Pop Century is Far Out!

Can someone please carify the location of Pop Century for me??
I must have missed it being mentioned somewhere along this post.
I'm back to dial-up internet service for a short period of time and it's taking forever for these pages to load.
So I'm sure I've just missed where Pop is exactly located.

Pop Century is centrally located next to Caribbean Beach, and very close to the Disney-MGM Studios.

No problem. As Pop Century gets closer to opening, I'll create a new FAQ thread topic, and organize all the information we've accumulated in this thread. We're on Holiday break right now... when we get back, it's prep for the Open Mouse (CM Previews) on Thursday. I should be able to take pictures by then. And then on the 8th, I have reservations to stay a night. So I shall have a more in-depth review!

Until then... HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!! Gobble Gobble!

Well... except those in the UK... I guess today really isn't the best day for y'all, eh? hehe, grab some turkey anyway, because we're thankful y'all still come over here

I have read every post on this thread and I am getting so excited about being one of the first guests here.

Watch out Tyler, here we come. Maybe they can just set you up in one area for just the Disers to check in? I like that Idea.

I just thought of another question. Will there be towels available to use at the pools or do we need to bring our own? We have never stayed at a Value Resort before so I don't know if they have pool towels available like they do at the Moderates.

I was on DCL last year with a bunch of vacationing CM's, and it seems that you all know how to have a good time!

I guess I have the best of both worlds--I'll be on DCL a few nights before I help open Pop Century! I can't wait! Has anyone set up a meet for all of us DIS'ers who'll be there for opening day? No, I'm not volunteering...I'll be out of here first thing Tuesday morning! I know, my counter is one day short, but our plans changed at the last minute. My granddaughter was invited to accompany Santa Claus for our city's holiday celebration on Monday night, and we couldn't deprive her of that. What 3 1/2 year old girl wouldn't want to be Santa's date at a party and then leave the next morning for WDW?

Ok, not sure if you all would want this but I wrote a little database for us Wilderness Lodgers to know who's going and when.

I decided that it would be something great for all of us dis'rs so I added ALL of the hotels to the main database.

So read below then go enter your stay dates into the database so YOU TOO can see "Who's Going"!!

I created a database system that will allow you to enter the dates you are going and search to see who else will be there when you are going!! I call it, "Who's Going".

There are 3 main pages.

1) The main search page. You can search based on a number of criteria but you don't need to use ALL of them. For example, if you wanted to see who is going in January of 2004 you would select January as the month and 2004 as the year.

2) The ADD records page. This is obviously where you would add your stay information. Take note of the password you use as you can use it later to edit or remove your record.

3) The EDIT record page. This is where you can return to change your dates OR delete your entry if need be. Make sure you use the password you entered on the add record page.


I think this will be fun.

It's less than 14 days till opening, I will be checking in daily for any updates and pics. Looking forward to opening day....Any advice to us on checking in on the 14th. I hope you and the rest of the CM's are ready. I am a little jealous that you are getting to spend a night there before it opens....have fun and let us know how things are going around PC.

I showed the pics of PC to my step-dad over Thanksgiving, and he loved it. He is so excited! His favorite part was the golf carts.

And I want to to my sis, Gina! She's a new lurker here at the Dis, and will be at PC with her family on opening day. Maybe she'll actually register when she returns to let us all know how they liked it.
