Just came back and want to confirm what everyone else has said. Icee machine was usually not working. DS bought a mug just for that and out of the 7 days, it was only working for two days.

We are going in Sept and we were looking forward to ICEES. :sad1:
If you buy the mugs and the ICEES machine isn't working will they give you your money back for the mug ?( and yes I would give them back the mug. It wouldn't be like I would ask for my money back and continue to use it for soda,coffee...).
Has anyone asked to get their money back for the mug because the ICEE machine wasn't working?

When we were there in April at least one ICEE machine was working everytime we went to the foodcourt. We never had a problem getting them. BTW, what other flavor do they have now? When we were there it was Coke and blue raspberry.

:wave2: Are the ICEE machines at any other resorts? We are staying at the Contemporary and my kids would love this... :grouphug: Dalton5

This doesn't just apply to POP/WDW, but why don't they offer diet in the icee machines? Some 7/11 stores offer a Crystal Light or Diet Pepsi, but why oh why for the most part don't they offer anything diet? :confused3

when we were there in June I think the Blue raspberry worked two days and the coke icee one day. Oh well. My DD was just as happy with hot chocolate. Go figure.

When i was at CR in January, they did have an icee machine. They had coke and cherry, my kids loved it!

Thanks a lot. I just cancelled my Pop reservation b/c of the non-full-time-working-and-I-can't-get-a-refund-for-the-mug-I-purchased-just-for-that-tasty-Icee-that-should-have-been-diet-anyway machine not working 24/7.

Motel 6, here I come.

The Icee machine worked every day when we there in November. Isn't there two of them?

I seem to remember each beverage station had an Icee machine, but I may be wrong. I'll have to ask the kids.

They had blue and red on our trip.

It may not be working because they are being used so much they don't have time to add some element that makes it an ICEE instead of just syrup. I've had that happen at 7-11 or Wawa. It just spits out syrup instead of Icee.

Yes, each station had an ICEE machine and each machine had two flavors. It wasn't crowded when we were there, so maybe that's why they were working the whole time.

We didn't stay at Pop just for the ICEES though.

There use to be 2 machines, but I gather that one broke and was removed recently since it was there in May and gone in June. I was very sad to see the one "working" machine, not working most of the time that we were there in June. Either it was taped off as broken or it was completely liquid. We got icees 2 times during our week long stay :(

We do stay at Pop just for the icees, well, not really, but they are one of our favorite things there so I hope that they get this working for our August trip.

I plan on buying two mugs for the kids-specifically for icee's this weekend. We'll be there for 2 weeks and we have pepsi in the room. I hope I don't pay for the mugs and they only get 2 icees.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was there over the 4th of July and there was only one icee machine. It never worked after noon time because so many people used it and it could not freeze. I asked a cm there if the machine is usually broken and he gave a baloney statement saying it was never broken. I had been there for a few days and it seemed to always have a sign saying out of order. It was a rip off and I would have complained and tried to get my money back from while I was at mgm, I went to a counter service and ordered something and waiting over 15 minutes, people behind me were getting their food but not me so I angrily asked for a manager and told the manager I wanted my money back and that I was very mad. The manager gave me my money back and also the food so I figured it went towards the bad purchase of the mug.

I wouldn't buy mugs if the only thing you plan to use them for are ICEES. You may be very disappointed.

Can you just pay for ICEES, one at a time, like you would with a regular soda, if you didn't have a mug?

I'm sorry, but this thread is cracking me up!

:rotfl2:

Is this for real?

I guess I'd better cross Pop off of my list of places to try in the future, if they can't get me my Icees!

You just made my day. I need to join IA (Icee's Anonymous). I think that it is so cool that we can buy a mug and get Icee's all week (assuming the machine is working).

I don't remember seeing anyone post that they would never stay at POP because of the broken ICEE machine, All I have seen is debate over whether or not to buy the mug if you intend to fill them with ICEES.
