Which resort and preferred area would you pick.... Pop Century, Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach for family of 5 (mom/dad, DS 12, DD 11 and DS 1? We have stayed at Pop Century and Coronado Springs but never Caribbean Beach. My kids really like Pop but Coronado rooms have more space. Caribbean Beach resort looks so big and Im concerned about how far the walk is to the food court. Also how is the bus system? We are definitely going to reserve a preferred room which area and why would you suggest it?

I would stick with CS out of those choices. CB has double beds, not a lot of room for 2 adults lol. Have you ever considered POR. Nice resort, queen beds and you can request alligator bayou. (You may not get it, you can only request it) but the rooms have trundle beds.

Good luck!

We have never been to Disney so take this for what it's worth, but we decided on CBR. I didn't think we'd be able to cram into the value rooms at Pop. I figured the full sized beds give us more floor space for the pack and play and stroller with the moderate-sized rooms. The pool looks amazing, especially the splash area for my little guy (2 years old). If you're booking preferred you shouldn't have a problem with the walk to the food court, the preferred rooms are right there. For us I also figured this was our one shot to stay at CBR, since there are no 5-person rooms - though I guess that's the same for CSR and Pop.

CSR is the best, Ranchos area has rooms for bigger families. It is a nice resort and had a good food court and pool.

I was thinking pop would be too small, Im between CSR and CBR.... are rooms same size? CBR looks more fun for kids but. Any reason location for either is a plus?

POP only fits four according to the disney website if you have small children i guess that would work but the other hotels would probably be the best choice. What about POR they have the best deals for five right now as that's what we're looking for because we have a family of five.

disney lover at heart

Of your choices, I would pick CS. It's one of my favorite resorts. You are correct the rooms are a bit bigger here and they have queen sized beds as opposed to doubles at pop and CBR. Pool is awesome there too! Spent many hour relaxing there while my DS played in the pool.

We love CBR and preferred rooms are pretty close. The pool is wonderful. Pirate ship for little ones and zero entry which is the best for little ones. We had our 2 year old and he liked just sitting in the zero entry area with us. We are going to CBR again in Dec.!! (double sinks in bathroom are nice too.)

We have stayed at all and if we didn't need 2 rooms now, my vote would be Coronado Springs. Hands down over CBR. Some of the rooms at both can be really far from the food court. At CBR we were in Barbados (I think) and the walk to the food court with a little one walking was just too much. I suppose there are certain areas at CSR like Ranchos that could be equally as far. Try to request a certain area or pay the extra for preferred if you will eat in the food court often or plan on refilling your mugs. THe grounds at CBR were really beautiful and the pool looked great.

I've stayed at POP & CS; I would NOT recommend POP. I felt crowded when it was just me & DS15. Like another poster recommended, have you considered POR? A much more compact resort, room for 5 & the boat to DTD :)

CSR is the best, Ranchos area has rooms for bigger families. It is a nice resort and had a good food court and pool.

All the rooms at CSR are the same: 2 queen beds or 1 king bed. All the rooms are the same size: 314 sf. The only options for "bigger families" are suites and they are scattered throughout the resort, not just in Ranchos. They are also very pricey.

OP, just based on the fact that CSR has queen beds and Pop and CBR have doubles, CSR is hands-down the winner. Also, your older kids will love the pool and slide there.

It seems like PP's have already talked you out of Pop, but in case you were still considering it, I just wanted chime in! My sister, BIL, and 1 yo niece stayed in a Pop room in February and there was absolutely no room to move with the Pack n Play set up. And the beds cannot be moved to create more room. So even though I absolutely love Pop, do not stay there with 4 people plus an infant in a Pack n Play. There just would not be enough room.
