Pop Century bus

Where exactly do the Pop buses drop off at MK? Thought you had to go to TTC and then get on a bus. Confused :confused3

no the POP buses (and all the Disney resort buses, actually) drop you off right outside the MK. the bus stops are located between MK and the Contemporary resort. one of the perks of staying onsite.. not having to bother with the ferry or monorail from the TTC!
note: the buses often drop you off anywhere they happen to pull up, not necessarily at their own stop. so make sure to check where the stop for POP is on your way out when you leave. (there are signs posted as you walk to the bus stops.)

On our last trip Pop had wonderful bus service. Granted at closing the lines were long, but all the resorts did. Other than that and waiting 15 minutes at DTD, we never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus.

My great story: we were on our way to Epcot on our departure day when dd realized she didn't have her money with her. She thought she left it on the bed at the hotel, and we had already checked out :scared1:. We decided that I would go back to the resort and look for it. I figured it would take me FOREVER, leaving a park before park opening? :rotfl2: It was 8:45 when we got to Epot. I made a round trip, Epcot - Pop - Epcot in 45 minutes. The only thing I missed was a ride on TT and Mission Space (which I wouldn't ride anyway).

Same type experience for me. While at POP a few years ago, we were in line, headed to MK. The bus came in, and it was at that moment that I remembered I had left something back in our room. Of course, the room was way out to the far side of the resort...Rubic's cube bldg by the parking lots. I told my dh and dd to just go and I would meet them inside MK. I went back to the room, grabbed what I needed and returned to the bus stop...just as another MK bus was arriving. It had to be about 10 mins after the one my dh and dd were on..no longer. I got to MK just as they were going into the MK, by the flagpole.
The buses at POP are actually quite good.

It is nice that they are free, but at closing WILL be very crowed. No one is polite enough to give up their seats either (they pretend that they don't see you)....even when you are trying to hold your sleeping child and hang on with the other hand.

You haven't met me on a bus, have you? I am an able-bodied woman who doesn't mind standing. I always give up my seat to a child or anyone who looks like they could use it. My mom raised me right. :)

Do the POP buses run at the TTC at closing time?

The POP buses run at the usual spot at MK entrance at closing time and later until all the guests are out. I don't know of any time that POP buses ever stop at TTC.

The only Disney buses at TTC go to HS and AK.

After a late dinner at the Poly, I asked a Poly CM, other than a taxi, what's the best way to get back to POP? He said walk over to TTC and ask either the AK or HS bus drivers to take you. I did and the AK bus driver gladly took me to POP. What's up with that?

Pixie dust. Just because there's none here on this forum doesn't mean you won't occasionally find a bus driving CM who will go out of his/her way to get you where you're going.

How late DO busses run? Is it a set time--up to 1hr/3hrs/etc.--after park close?

I have a free week in September and am thinking of jaunting down for a POP Century stay. But if I were to have a late dinner res at the Wave, could I pull it off? If I finish eating at 9:30 and the MK that day closes at 8, what's the deal? Will there be a bus when I finally get my butt over to the MK?

And what about the boats? I imagine my notion of eating at the Whispering Canyon Cafe gets even less likely if I finish eating at even 9 o'clock.

(I'll be cross-posting this in POP Century thread in the Resorts section).

Buses run from the parks until all the Guests are out. If there are Extra Magic Hours at any park, take a bus from the resort where you just ate to that park, then transfer to the bus to your own resort. If there's no EMH, take a bus to Downtown Disney and transfer there.

The buses do run from the parks until all guests have left, BUT drivers are instucted not to bring guests to a closed park. We're supposed to tell guests to transfer either at another park that's still open, or at DTD. DTD buses run until 2 a.m.

As for Whispering Canyon, the boat is nice, but there are also buses from WL to all parks and to DTD, so you'll always have a way to get back up until 2 a.m.
