I tried to do a search but the threads that came up were old...

Does anyone know if Pop Century shares a bus route with any other resorts or stops.

i usually prefer that over the all stars as it used to not share with any other stops.
But it is 100.00 more for my 4 days so I want to make sure it is still that way.

Thanks.

If you are asking about the buses to the parks, POP has its own buses and does not share with any other resort. If you are asking about ME, I do not know.

I've seen one poster state that AoA shared a bus with Pop during their trip. But only that one post.

So funny as I was reading the ME as was I asking about YOU!

Thanks to you both..

I would not be surprised if once in awhile a Pop Century bus had significant extra room and swung by Art of Animation (or vice versa) to pick up more guests even though the resorts have separate bus routes.

Some time ago someone mentioned All Star Sports and 'Music sharing buses (during some hours) while 'Movies had its own. Again the idea of leaving 'Movies half empty and "casually" swining by 'Sports or 'Music is not farfetched.

No, Pop buses make no other stops. I have been to AoA recently and their buses never went to Pop......other than the DME bus. To the best of my knowledge, this is still the case.

That absolutely can and does happen. There may have been a large tour group that filled up a bus, or a large number of wheelchairs. Coordinators can reroute buses as necessary, and have been known to call on the radio for "any buses in the vicinity of [whatever resort] returning nearly empty."

But, as a rule, Pop doesn't share a route, correct?

I have spent 38 nights at POP during various months earlier this year and on 2 or 3 occasions, we did stop over at AoA and help alleviate their excessively long lines!! When we left POP we only had a handful of people on the bus...one time as few as 3, once maybe as many as 8. We were literally an empty bus! It only added maybe 7 or 8 extra minutes onto the ride because the driver took the back way over to the resort. And it is a fairly RARE exception, not the rule! But it can happen.

Happened to me but it is RARE!!! 2 or 3X in 38 nights!! I specifically recall two times but seem to think there were three....lol

We stayed at Pop in May and shared a bus with AoA on two occasions. Both were early mornings around 8 am or so. Once we were headed to MK and the other time to Epcot. There weren't many guests who boarded the bus at Pop but the lines were huge over at AoA. Actually, that same day that we shared a bus to MK, that night at closing the AoA line was again so large that they were bringing in full sized Mears buses to try and move the guests back to AoA faster.

So yes, Pop and AoA do share buses from time to time.

Let me say one thing....do NOT choose a resort based on it's transportation!!! Nothing is etched in stone, and with Disney, everything is subject to change with little to no notice!!!
What is happening today could very well change next week or even tomorrow!!

We are also staying at POP Dec4-15. My ? how long does it take to get to each park (estimate is all I am looking for) also we are going to AK then have ADR @ DTD- I know a bus doesn't go direct (we have to go to a resort then to DTD) which resort bus should we get onto and the go to DTD? What is the time frame (estimate) to get there-:confused3

It's been a year since we stayed at POP but I think HS was the closest park about 5 minutes away, then Epcot, and AK and MK being the furthest away. I can't remember exact times for them though. I would catch a AKL bus since it's the closest resort to AK and then get the DTD bus from there. I'm no expert so maybe someone else has a better idea. :)

I would go with whichever bus is at the AK bus stop them switch to DTD bus at that resort. That would save at least one wait.

In this case (from Animal Kingdom) I would say take the first bus except I would pass up buses for Polynesian, Floridian, Contemporary, Bay Lake, or Wilderness (somewhat longer distance).
