POP Before the Christmas Rush-Who's with me!?

Hi Beth  Hi Stefanee

We have kids of the same gender and age range. Hmmmmmmmm. the wheels are a turning.

It could either be a lot of fun, or turn disasterous, in a good way of course!

Thanks guys,

I am feeling a little bit better about the code, and am going to contact my TA and see if she can look into it or if I have to.

I noticed we have boys the same age, it could be beneficial come pool time. I know our plans include down time in the afternoon. For either destressing or the pool in our case. My friend we are traveling with has a torn achilles tendon and heel spur, so no commando trips through the parks this time. All though we threaten to get her a wheel chair for the trip.

We haven't requested a specific building, all though our rooms are preferred view type.

Hello Beth!:wave2: Hello Monica!:wave2:

It's been my pleasure to meet you. I hope we can find a good time to meet.

I received the 40% off code through the mail. I could use it if I booked during the specific dates that were given. We ended up shifting our dates by one day in order to use. Instead of the 12/6-12/13 we ended up with 12/7-12/14.

Stef, can I call you that? I have a feeling your kids like star wars. My boys LOVE it.

2 weeks ago, the local frozen custard stand had a fund raiser and they had characters there to meet and take pictures with. They sold cheap little life savers that lit up, that you had to buy or your kids drove you crazy asking for them every 18 seconds.

I don't know what was worse, the begging or 19 thousands lites being swung through the air.

At the end they showed the original star wars movie on a blow up large screen. In the dark!

We are rebels, we stayed to the end. So many families left early with sleeping kids tossed over their shoulders.

It was fun and I was admiring all of your star wars smilies. I may just have to "borrow them" one day.

Oh and what were your dates in 2006? We were there also from Nov 24-Dec 2. Also another great time to go.

Stef is fine. Lots of people call me that. I'm sure they call me alot of other things too....:rotfl:

My boys love Star Wars! They also love legos and they can't wait to see the lego store at DTD. My Mom and I were the only ones of our group in 2006 to make it to DTD (DH stayed back at Pop with the 3 kids in the pool) so we got to see the giant lego Yoda. I really hope it's still there so the kids can see it. We tried to get pictures with Darth Vader and his buddies at DS but it started to rain and they cut the line short.

Go ahead and borrow my smilies anytime you like! I'd love to share with you!

In 2006 we went from 12/9-12/16. It was so cool being there at that time. I am a big fan of Christmas decorations and music. I have a music station programed in my van that plays Christmas music from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day. It drives my DH nuts!

Ok,
this needs to stop, its getting freaky...DS is a huge stars wars fan, and all the Lego star wars hang from his ceiling. The Lego store is a must stop at DTD when ever we go( he has started saving already)
DH is a star wars fanatic and can quote the movies word for word.

We were also at WDW in December of 2006, stayed at All Stars Music in a family suite and took DD and her now husband(boytoy at the time). We were there from Dec 6th -11th.

May I join the list of DISers beating the Christmas rush?! We are going the 1st of Dec through the 5th. And I can't wait!!!! Planning on staying at the Pop. i love holiday time at WDW!

/
Que the freaky music, cause my son Zack loves him his legos.

He was stopped dead in his tracks and speachless when we walked in and saw Yoda.

Well, no code for us, I contacted our TA, and we had to use the offer back when we stayed in Jan. And there isn't anything attached to our name. Oh well...

But, all our dining reservations are done...woohoo

Thursday is Coral Reef and Illuminations
Friday is Crystal Palace followed by MVMCP
Saturday is Sci Fi and Fantasmic

Wednesday night we aren't sure what time we will be arriving, but I am sure it will include DTD and what else, Legos...lol

Sunday we are trying to get a night flight, and we have a day left on the tickets, so I am not sure what park we will go to.

We have already started working on our shirts for Friday night...

Hi Monica! Just wanted to let you know I'll be there 12/8-12/14:thumbsup2

If anyone wants to put something together I hope this list helps you.

I would like to arrange something while I am there.

Looking at my notes this is whats available for me.

Tuesday Dec 11th evening after the parks

Sunday the 14th is an open day and I am hoping to hang out at the pool.

As far as our ressies:

Dec 10 Rainforest Cafe 4:15pm
Dec 11 50's Primetime 2pm
Dec 12 Chef Mickey's 8:15
Dec 13 Plaza Rest 2pm
Dec 14 OPEN
Dec 15 Tony's 6:35pm
Dec 16 Boys do Universal girls do shopping in DTD and BBB
Dec 17 Tusker House 8am
Dec 18 Open
Dec 19 Open

Ok, stalkers, start stalking............

Monica,
Does Rainforest do ADR's? That might be a different option for us..lol

There is also the new T Rex place at DTD I have been reading about. Sounds like a place DS would like.

Most of our night plans include fireworks at the different parks, and of course MVMCP on Friday...I wish we could stay longer...darn pesky school rules..lol

They took an ADR from me..........so I guess the answer is yes.

We are usually commando type park people. Stay in the parks as long as we can. Baby can sleep in the stroller, I use the baby care centers when the boys really want to do the "big rides"

This year I am making us find spots to stop and watch the fireworks instead of walking off a ride and looking straight up.

What parks are you doing on what days?

Us:

10th-AK
11th-DHS
12th-Epcot and somehow I have to sqeeze in seeing the opeing of Twilight with a friend that lives in FL and works for Disney
13th-MK
14th-Hang at the Resort maybe catch some fireworks
15th MK
16th DTD/Universal
17th AK
18th???kids choice
19th???kids choice

I'm really hoping that we can find time to meet; even if that means I ditch the kids with DH and do a night time park meet. :rotfl:

Here is my schedule:

ADRS: Parks:
12/7 --Arrival Day (CS meal somewhere maybe DTD)
12/8--Sci Fi 4:05p DS
12/9--Ohana Breakfast 7:50a MK
12/10--Liberty Tree Tavern 4:15p MK
12/11--LeCellier Late Lunch 2:10p EP
12/12--Whispering Canyon 5:00p AK
12/13--Spirit of Aloha 1st Show 5:15p (MK/EP/AK)?
12/14--Departure Day

We will follow this pretty closely unless something comes up then we'll just have to go with the flow.

How are you in the mornings? We think we can get up and make rope drop but it never works out.

If I can just get my kids to bath at night instead of passing out as we enter the rooms, then we might be on to something.

Maybe the boys with some cattle prodding I can force them to bath. I know it's mean, but there's no other way to make 11 and 9 year old boys bathe.

The girls and I can shower together and that would save mega minutes.

DH, well, he's on his own.:goodvibes

Oh and my mom has a shower all to herself, so she better be ready.:rotfl2:

Actually I had a point and it got lost with all this talk about bathing. :sad2:

My family just happens to be morning people. When we went in 2006 this was how our day went.

Me: In the shower by 6:00a, dressed and hair done by 6:30a.
DH: Heard me in shower, off to get breakfast for him and both kids.(We generally ate bagels, cresonts, danishes, fruit, small stuff)

DH: Eats his breakfast.
Me: I leave to get my breakfast.

DH:Showers.
Me: Eat my breakfast and get kids up.

Kids: Eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed. (They had showers the night before.)

Get stuff ready and in the bus line waiting to go to the parks. Hopefully there for rope drop.

Each night we were back at the room around 8pm. Sometimes DH took kids to the pool. We usually gave them a quick shower and we were in bed by 10p. Kids fell asleep instantly because they were so tired. Then the next day we started all over again.

We are traveling with my parents and they are morning people too. My Mom is usually up by 3am:eek: . Dad gets up not long after her. It's such a habit because of their jobs.

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one who sets their alarm while at WDW...Now if I can just get the other group to see the logic..

princessreilly,
Very impressive, I bow to you, it makes my planning the cruise for 12 look like child's play.:worship:

PR: Our meals at 50's prime time are almost close enough we may bump into one another at some point.

Or at least at the park.

How can you miss a group of 14 following 1?

:rotfl2: Well thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be happy with the plans and if all else fells, they can cancel.

And we may have matching shirts!:lmao: I noticed your 50's PT ressie and thought the same thing. I just picked it up today. I just realized a couple of weeks ago that Fantasmic is planned for 7pm on that night.
