POP Before the Christmas Rush-Who's with me!?

Red Wings??? OH NO......:scared1:

Flyers baby!!!!

At worst, in desperation, the Hurricanes....

Actually DH and I were in the stands when the Hurricanes played the Red Wings for the Stanley Cup back in 2002. The game when it went into 3 overtimes...

We love us some hockey here....

We survived college orientation, now he has a countdown going on till he leaves.:(

I won't hold that against you. You are lucky I like you already.:lmao:

Over times make me so nervous.

I don't know if you read trip reports, but I started a pre-trip report for our August trip. Hope to see you over there.

You could be like my in laws, their 26, 24 and 18 year olds are all still at home and my other 48 year old BIL moved in too.

Hello everyone!

Just checking in since I haven't posted in awhile. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone by! Only 3 more weeks and the kids are back at school.

Wish I could join in the conversation but I'm not a hocky fan. Actually, I'm not much of a fan of "any"sport. I have one of those problems that when I do like a team I get really upset when they lose so it's just best that I don't root for anyone. Life's better that way!:rotfl:

Have a good night!

well, I guess I can forgive you for rooting for the Wings...now if you like the Braves or the Cowboys, we will have to seriously talk...LMAO...

Pikester, its ok, one of my closest friends knows nothing about any sport, and I still love her...

I can honestly say I don't care for basketball or soccer, and my 2 eldest played bball and my dd played soccer...i was doomed.

DH and I were both raised on the Philly teams, it seems to be in our blood. So of course we passed it along to our kids...our new Dsinlaw is a Bears and cubs fan..:confused3 but we forgave him and let him marry our Dd anyway..:rotfl:

School starts here 3 weeks from today...then the time for the trip will really fly by. Still waiting on a good DING, but its getting closer.

Hi! We're going for our first POP trip ever and at Christmastime to boot! :cool1: We can't wait!! We're being joined by our best friends and their three kids too..it's going to be sooo magical!!!!!! Have a wonderful trip!!! Less than 4 months to go now!! WOOHOO!

Welcome to the thread princess!

Not sure if you read the whole thread but we are trying to arrange a meet. Is this something you might be interested in?

The more kids splashing around in the pool together to longer we get to chit chat by the pool.

ok fellow popsters...

i want to alternately strangle Dh and sulk...

I have been reading about all these pin codes over on the Dec pin threads...and am thinking I have never gotten a pin code after 25+ visits, 4 DCL cruises and a honeymoon at DL.
Not one ever...but its ok, i will still go without one

Then the light bulb went off over my head...maybe it went to DH's email...nah, I do all the booking through mine..well, let me go check...

Ok..234 emails GASP...(oh yes, we will have a talk later)
And there it sat...
A PIN CODE...a WEEK old...it sat there lonely and unloved..for a week..

So I sent a email off to DU already with the hope of a small discount...we have a room only for one night and then the 4 day package..

SO, who has bail money for when I kill DH when he gets home???

UPDATE

Just heard from DU, the pin didn't apply to room only, and nothing is available at POP, but if we switch to ASM it would save us 110. We are traveling with another family, and don't want to leave them behind at POP, so we are passing on it(for now, there is a chance they may cancel)

Just stopping by to check in. I can't believe how fast the summer went. Of course the weather here in NH has been more like fall then summer so it feels like it went by extra fast. Kids start school a week from this Wednesday. Woo Hoo! Of course that means I'll start subbing at school soon too but hopefully not on the first day like I did last year.

I have booked from Dec 21 - 24 at the POP...but now I am worried. DH has not been to the World for a long...long..time. The week before Christmas may turn him off for life.
BUT, I would love to go see all of the decorations. Should I risk it? Or try to ease him in at another time and then work towards it next year?

We are back from a long weekend trip to our friends house in Pa..LOVED LOVED LOVED the weather.

Went to Hersheypark and to Boyds Bears...life is good...lol

Hard to believe summer is almost over, DS(11) has open house for 6th grade on Wednesday then school starts on Monday. Once he gets going, its only 2 short weeks till other DS is off to college. I won't know how to handle only having 1 at home, and 3 scattered all over the USA. The house will definately feel too big.

Those christmas decorations start going up right after Thanksgiving. You could back it up a bit and still feel the christmas spirit without the crowds.

DW and I will be at the YC from Dec 14 to Dec 21

We were there in early May and I am hoping it will be a little cooler.

Hey Mr. Vincent! The weather should be very enjoyable.

Yatch club, eh? I'm jealous. Sounds very nice.

With my large family, unless I win some dream wish, we'll only see the insides of the values.

All this talk of Christmas...

Just found this thread. My DW and I will be at POP Nov. 30-Dec 6. This will be our third trip without the family and first to POP. We've been to WDW numerous times and stayed last August at ASMu suites with the brood. My first trip to Disney was a 1958 to DL. I caught the bug as a kid and infected my DW, kids and DGD. We are looking forward to seeing WDW decorated for Christmas! Its a trip we've always wanted to take but because of children and DGD never could. As a Christmas present the kids are funding the trip :woohoo: . Am so looking forward to leaving the winter of Chicagoland for Florida!!

I have 3 more sleeps!

Tomorrow we are officially on vacation.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Have fun Monica! In about 3 more sleeps my kids will be going back to school! That is not as exciting as going to see Mickey.

I can't wait to hear about your trip.
