I don't feel sorry for this girl... no matter what is said about her. She's is one of those sterotypical "mean" girls, a spoiled brat who gets airtime for what??? A total waste of air time. I think if she wants to act the way she does in public... then she's made herself a target. Oh well...

it was breaking news this morning when she reported. All the early morning shows were doing it as their lead stories.

We had major news happening this weekend with the JFK plot, the debates, but Paris going to jail and Lindsay going to rehab are the top stories. I love gossip more than anybody in my family and I even think its over the top.

I know, but what's new? It was the same "show" with Anna Nicole.

Paris is a horrible person for our young girls to want to model themselves after. Hopefully jail will be good for her. Yes Im sure she was embarrassed by the comments, but she should have known it was going to happen and maybe if she didnt act like such a publicity ***** and have total disregard for others feelings she wouldnt have been humiliated like that.

I may be the only person alive who thinks that this junk has gone too far with her. Shouldn't Lindsay Lohan be carted off to jail? I mean, hello, they found coke in her car. I think Paris is being singled out because she's a "poor little rich girl." So she's said and done some questionable things in the past. What "celebrity" hasn't? I think some people think that the world will come to an end and evil will swarm all around if she doesn't go to jail.

I didn't find it funny, it was in poor taste and it was mean. While Paris does deserve to do jail time, and it isn't for DUI but for driving under suspension, the hate that is directed towards her is unfathomable.

I agree. Also, Paris chose to have a VERY public life which includes the comedy monologue. She chose to go to the MTV awards, and let's face it she's been in the audience before and has seen this dished to other celebs. I don't feel sorry for her, she created all of this.

Oh yes! She is videotaped making fun of black people. She is laughing and having so much fun as she calls them the N word and saying what they would do for crack (very sexual). There is soooo much more she has done. She has berated many more people b/c of their race or religion or social status.

well, I hate for anyone to feel bad but Paris acts like she is above the law and above everyone else. what exactly has she done besides being born rich? She certainly isn't a good role model or anything. .

What has Paris done? I think she has done a good job of marketing herself and being self supporting. She is an heiress, she doesn't have to work but she makes $7 million a year being Paris. I wish I could make 10% of that "being Dawn". She has had one DUI, not 5, not 10. She shouldn't have had any but she drank one drink after not eating all day, and at less than 100 pounds, she had a .08% That was legal a few years ago. I think there are a lot worse examples in Hollywood than Paris. She said in an interview yesterday, and I paraphrase, that she hopes to set an example for young people in what not to do. She is ready to serve her time. I think that there are a lot of other people out there who are a real danger to society but are walking free. Paris isn't a threat to anyone. She is there for punishment only. Punishment isn't a bad thing but she isn't being jailed for 'our safety'.

And I am sure that a few black people, and an occasional Asian has made fun of her as well. If she was a comedian, like "Sarah" for example, she would have been given a pass, "she's a comedian, that's what she does". I think a large number of people gave Rosie a pass, "she's a comedian" but Paris gets labled as racist.

I have heard as many "racist" comments from people of all races. I didn't realize that she was being jailed for racist comments. She is young and sheltered in her own world with minimal guidance from her parents. I think she will learn from this and move on.
