Someone told me that I should be sure to bring goggles for my kids if the poolwater is saltwater that is simply chlorinated. I've never been on a cruise before and didn't even give this any thought. Anyone know the answer? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the pools have fresh water. It is run through the onboard desalinization plant. Am I right? I would assume that chlorine is a given.

They are desalinated water, with chlorine added. Some cruise ships do use salt water in the pools, but not Disney. :D

I have heard that the pool water is very hard on swim suits. Is there something you can prewash swim suits in to prevent the fading?

The chlorine used in public pools can be tough on swimsuits (and eyes). Cotton or cotton blend fabrics are much worse about fading than synthetics. I don't know of anything that can be used to pre-wash, but the best way to prevent fading is to shower before entering and shower after exiting the pool. Make sure your swimsuit is soaked in fresh water. That will dilute the chlorine concentration in the fabric. Also, rinse out your suit as soon as you can after swimming.
