Does anyone know if SSR has a pool bar and which DVC resort has the best bar best drinks, not that I drink alot just curious.lol

SSR has a pool bar...the name escapes me right now.

We haven't visited any of the other DVC bars, but we had great drinks at the lounge in the Swan last fall. The bartender was great too!

I have visited all of the DVC pool bars. The one I remember most is WL because they have a "drink of the day" and it comes in a souvenir "Trout Pass Pool Bar" cup, which I use every day. Most of the specialty drinks are rum based, which gets kind of old after a while. My Dad is a martini drinker and really enjoyed his at WL!!I think the bartender has a lot to do with how you like the bar. A good personality gets him/her good tips and makes for lots of fun.
Not that I drink a lot LOL.

We were there while pool hopping and it had some elevated level tables with a view of the pool, but the one I liked the most was at
Boardwalk's Luna Pool. It had a great view of the pool and a TV.
I had frozen strawberry drinks at both. We did not get drinks at SAB even though that was our home base for this trip, not SSR, our home resort. Yes, we pool hopped to 2 other DVC resorts.

BWV and VWL pools both have nice bars. BTW, if you pool hop to the Poly, the bar there makes a mean Mai Tai!

To be honest with you, maybe it is because I am not a big drinker, but I did not care for the frozen drinks at the BC. But, I did like the frozen drinks at the BW. It does not make sense to me because I had a strawberry daiquiri at both places, weird.

The thing I love about SAB at BC is that there are servers walking around and you can order food and drinks....not so at BWV as you stand in line at the bar and the food choices are much more limited.

My favorite pool bar is at the BWV. I love to sit at the bar and look around, admiring the atmosphere, architecture, and general ambience of my "home." I just love it there!! The drinks are good, the bartenders great (and they remember us from past trips) ;-).

My second favorite is the bar at the WL. It's just so comfortable for some reason. Shady, nice atmosphere, geyser close by.

DH and I like to have a bar where we can actually sit, not grab a drink and go to a table. The OKW bar is way too small, and the BC bar is basically just a walk-up window with tables nearby (with good food, though).

I'll be checking out SSR's pool bar in September. (I have seen pictures of it.) :earsgirl:

The disadvantage to the BCVs pool bar (which is really a lovely spot) is that you can't see most of the pool from it if you are watching kids. However, since you can't see most of the pool from most of the pool, perhaps that isn't a problem with the bar.

Our fav' pool bar at WDW is the one at AKL. Bleachers at VB really suits the location, tho it is also a snack bar. So among the DVC pool bars, I'm going with BWV's.

No one has mentioned to one at the quiet pool at OKW "Turtle Shack Snack Bar". I liked that one, very quiet, laid back, good frozen drinks and COLD beers, and friendly bar tender. Can't say I've been to any of the others yet. Maybe I'll try out the one at SSR in a couple of weeks...

Can anyone name any good, "unique", drinks at any of these places, especially OKW or BWV? And yes, I like rum drinks.

I don't like rum drinks at all!

Had a good drink at SAB in May. It was called kool-aid and was made with midori, amaretto and cranberry juice. It was served with sliced of fresh fruit. Yum!
