Pooh's Playful Spot tentative open date

Went to wdwmagic this morning to see what updates are posted and look what I found:

23 August 2005: Pooh's Playful Spot opening date

Pooh's Playful Spot, the kids play area being built along the edge of the former 20,000 Leagues site, is now scheduled to open on September 1st 2005.

This is great news if it does open Sep 1. Here's hoping!

Cool. We leave Sept.1...but in the afternoon. So if it doesn't have a soft opening before. I hope we can catch it before we leave.

The Seuss one in Universal Studios was a BIG hit with my kids! We were there forever! My kids are getting a little big now 7 and 9.

I wonder if its just for the toddler group (since its pooh) or bigger!

I read this and thought - Oh Great, we are going down Sept 18th......but then I realized this is our adults only trip so I don't really care lol

This is the ongoing excitement/guilt tug-of-war this trip is causing - am I a bad parent for leaving DS at home. Anyway, we'll make it up to him

OOOHHHH! I hope so I was telling DH about it yesterday and DD(6) overheard me, then she told DD(2) who was so excited that she was about to bust!!!! I hope it opens then, we arrive on the 7th but will not be in MK untill the 13th so I'm giving them some wiggle room

If you go to www.wdwmagic.com you can see some construction photos, but I haven't seen any completed pics yet.

I'm sure that when it opens, safetymom will be there to take pics!

Repeat to yourself... "I am NOT a bad parent for going to WDW without my child.... I am NOT a bad parent for going to WDW without my child........." Say it over and over 100 times per day until you believe it. A child needs a parent who is refreshed after spending time with their significant other and friends. This is what you owe your child... not anything material or a trip to WDW, but a well rounded, happy parent.

My DS(2) is going to be thrilled. He loves "PoohDear" as he calls him. And Boingie (thats Tigger). Glad to see that it is opening BEFORE our trip-usually happens after lol
