I am tall and very pooh sized, wear a 26/28 with a large belly area and posterior and I am worried about riding EE. Are the seats large size folk friendly?? Will I have any trouble bringing down the safety bar so it locks in place for safety without being embarrassed as it will not lock?? Any info for us fluffy size people would be appreciated from those who have ridden or who are in the know on this...thanks... :sunny:

from the pictures there is no overhead harness to bring down. The bar looks T shaped and pushes down towards your belly. It looks like two individual seats and two individual t-bars. You should be fine. Looks like I'm pretty close to your size and no problems at disney for me.

From what I understand there is a "mock up" car just out of sight where if you have a doubt you can try it out before getting into an embarrassing situation. Each seat has it's own adjustable bar so if you're with a tiny person they too can have the proper fit.

I complained once about Universals new ride (The Mummy) because although they have a test car it is right out on the street in plain view of everyone so if you have trouble getting in or out the entire park can witness it. Very bad show. Once again, Disney does it better.

:furious:

I'm a pretty large mammal (adult male, about 310, 6'3") and I rode Expedition Everst 5 times during Thursday and Friday. I carry most of my "largeness" in front of my and was able to make get the bar down without a problem if I sat in the vehicle and pushed the bar down as I was seated. In other words, as you are sort of squating above the seat, push down the lap bar so it clicks into place and then slide in underneath of it.

Go and don't have a worry. Disney is great to use larger folks!!!

Have a great time!!!!

I went to six flags and could not ride several rides because of my size. The bar either hit me in the tummy area or it hit my big shoulders. Either way I was out of luck. I so wanted to ride EE but was afraid I would not fit.
Again disney goes above and beyond the call to insure a magical experience.

Thanks Disney.

Yetti you better beware of people as big as you on this ride.

Anyone else? DH and I are both Pooh sized  - will we be able to ride side by side or should we each ride with a not-so-Pooh-sized person? Thanks!

A lot of the problems you are seeing at Six Flags and Cedar Point are due to a lovely company known as Intamin AG of Switzerland, it and B&M seem to have problems accomodating larger people. I am not a large person, but I have friends and family that area and it irritates me none the less that its getting to a point that a lot of people cannot ride! You might known intamin by their rides, Superman Ride of Steel, Wicked Twister, M. Force, Top Thrill Dragster, etc and B&M for Raptor, Mantis, Dueling Dragons, etc..

Vekoma the company that made EE, (as well Rockin Roller Coaster) is much more accomodating, I saw some pretty large people getting on EE without a problem. It is a large "U" shaped-bar, which is a little more accomodating, and while it does click down its very open, and large. I would guess your probably wouldn't have any problems.

How are Tower of Terror and Big Thunder Mountain for "pooh sized" folks?

I believe you will find TOT very easy to accomodate even extra Pooh-sized folks. I know BTM was fine the last time I rode, as a size 22-24. Hope that helps.

I too am "pooh sized", and I have not problem with TOT or BTM, as long at it's just DD and I in the seat. One time we had my great nephew with us, and the put us all in the same row, and it was tight... now I know, but I don't particularly like the ride anyway! Also I am better in the front row of the Test Track cars.

I always fear that I will have problems with the rides. I am not too big on the "thrill" rides, I go more for HM, POTC, Great Movie Ride, Soarin' type rides!

The CM's did the same thing Sunking describes for a man who was in the train before us. But, it took them three tries to get it right. He sure didn't look very comfortable.

I'm the opposite - I'm tiny. Sorry but I am. I was so concerned about Expedition:Everest. I just about jammed that lapbar into me! But I don't think anyone needs to have any apprehension about this attraction. For Twilight Zone, it's a breeze since it's just a seatbelt thing, not a bar. Which still freaks me out but it's better than the air time I used to get.

Rock N Roller Coaster is my only problem mainly because they lock you in so quickly and I never get the stupid overhead thing down far enough. That one knocks the daylights out of me.

I was surprised by how roomy the seats were. It wasn't squishy at all, and as others have said, each person has there own lap bar. There was plenty of leg room for the 6'4" guy I was riding with, too.

My aunt, 26/28 with emphasis on hips and thighs rode no problem! Have fun!!!

TOT has lapbars for its riders, except for the "bravest rider" seat, which is right in the middle of the back row and has a seat belt. Unless they've remodeled the attraction and given all the seats seatbelts, but I was there a year ago and they were all bars

TOT does not have lap bars any longer....all seat belts....which makes it even scarier imho......
