Just noticed this site today...It is great reading about everyone's weight losses!

My DH took me on our dream trip to Disney in 2001 after trying multiple treatments to concieve without any luck. We had been trying since 1997 and ever time I took a pregancy test and it failed I'm sure I would gain 10 pounds the next day! Even though I kept buying bigger sizes in clothes (a 24 before we left on the trip) I didn't realize how much I actually weighed. When we got our pictures back from our vacation I was shocked! I had my picture taken with POOH bear and when I looked at that picture I couldn't believe that I was as big as POOH! That picture change me forever! I bought scales the next day. I weighed 249.5 pounds! I decided that I had to take control and knew no "diet" would help me loose that much weight! I wanted to be healthy and happy again. I joined a water areboics class once a week and started walking 20 minutes a day Mon-Fri. Every week I would try a new "healthy" choice. The 1st week I started to drink 2 litres of water a day...the 2nd week I decided no more butter...the 3rd week no frying any food...the 4th no added sugar...the 5th week 1 dark green veggie every day...the 6th week one orange veggie every day...the 7th week whole grain products...the 8th week skim milk... the 9th week no more food after supper...the 10th week take a multivitimin... in 14 weeks I lost 20 pounds and I was pregant!!!!Without any treatment! After I had my beautiful princess I weighed 222. I actually losted 4.5pounds. For a total of 24.5pounds. For the next year I stayed the same wieght. Once I stopped breast feeding the weight started to come off again. In 10 weeks I lost 23 pounds and weighed 199!!!:woohoo: Then I gained 2 pounds and guess what I was pregant again!!! Pretty good for someone who was told they would probably never have any children. This pregancy was different I gained alot of weight. Never really ate alot but gained alot of weight. The week before I had my second princess I weighed 245pounds...so upset. I had my second beautiful princess and by time I went for my for my 6 week check up I was 209 pounds. I got back to 199 very quickly! :woohoo: Since than I have lost another 26 pounds and now weigh 173 pounds.

My goal is to loose another 14 pounds before this summer because once I hit 159 I will no longer over weight! When I started this in 2001 my goal was not to be over weight on my 30 Birthday. It doesn't look like I will meet that goal though...a little dissapointed but I had no idea that I would end up having 2 dd's when I made the goal. I now plan to be no longer over weight with a couple of months of my birthday. Taking my weight loss in small steps have made it much easier to maintain.

We are going on a cruise and to WDW in Nov and I would like to have all my weight gone. I plan on searching for POOH and getting a new picture taken! That picture in 2001 changed my life forever! POOH bear saved me! I finally understood that dieting does NOT work. So I changed my life...the way I eat...the way I think. So far I have lost 73.5 pounds and went from a size 24 to a size 8/10.

2001 - 249.5
2002 - 222 ( First dd was born!)
2003 - 199
2004 - 199 (Second dd was born I gained 46 pounds but lost it again)
2005 - 189
Jan 1, 2007 - 188 (Ready to get rid of the rest of the weight...now I know I can maintain it)
March 16 - 173
April 9 - 169
May 8- 168 (Yeah 20 pounds gone!!! A Total of 81.5pounds):cheer2: :cheer2:
July 1 - 163.5
 
How lovely that you had two daughters you must be so thrilled, and well done on the weight loss. I'd really like to read your food journals and share your weight loss with you. I am also trying to lose weight and posts like these inspire me :)

Thank you...I am very blessed to have two beautiful daughters and if anything they help me with my weight loss! I will be posting my food journals daily...so keep checking back...and best wishes with your weight loss.

Sounds like you have done a great and amazing job with making all your dreams come true. I am also at the end of getting to where I need to be. The last 30 pounds seem to want to stay where they are. Journaling here sure makes the emotional roller coaster disappear and the support from everyone is wonderful.

Thanks for the great comments...I truly feel I am blessed in every way...I feel I gain so much strength from my girls and it makes my weight loss journey easier...but it had to start without them...I had to do it for myself and that's is when I truly realized that it could be done...I really feel I will always keep my weight off and know eventually I will meet my goal weight of 149…I am hoping that I can do it by November though! That is 24 pounds in 8 months. So here I go... I tend to loose more weight when I write down everything I eat and do...so here I go... today I

Drank 2 litres of water

Breakfast:
1 cup of cheerios/ ½ banana/ ½ cup of milk
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk

Snacks:
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk
½ protein bar
Slice of mozza cheese (tester at Costco need to learn how to say no:confused3 )
1 carrot

Lunch:
2 cups of salad (mix greens, mixed peppers, onion, mushrooms, 2 slices of deli chicken breast, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp of light ranch dressing)
1 cup of fruit salad (fresh berries & melons)
1 cups of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk

Supper:
1 lean pork chop broiled
1 cup of salad (mix greens, mixed peppers, onion, mushrooms, 1 tbsp of light thousand Island dressing)
1 stuffed potato (small potato/1 tbsp fat free sour cream/1 slice of fat free cheese)
½ whole wheat bun
1 ww carrot cake
2 cups of tea with 4tbsp of skim milk

15 minutes on my elliptical:yay:

Today wasn’t too bad… no testers at Costco today… :thumbsup2

2 liters of water

Breakfast:
1 cup of Cherrios
½ cup of skim milk
1 cup of fruit salad(fresh melons & berries)
2 cup of tea with 4tbsp of skim milk

Lunch:
2 slice whole wheat toast
2egg with ¼ cup of veggies(onion, mushroom, green red yellow & orange peppers)
1 cup of mixed greens, peppers, onions, cucumber, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp of low fat thousand Island dressing
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk

Snack:
2 cups of popcorn(smart choice not butter)
2 cup of tea with 4tbsp of skim milk
1 cup of fruit salad(fresh melons & berries)

Supper:
Chicken Tikka Masala & Basmati Rice (215 cals/5g fat/345g sodium/30g carbs)
1 cups of salad(mix greens, onion, mushroom, green red yellow & orange pepper, 1tbsp of low fat ranch salad dressing)
1/2 whole wheat bun
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk
1 ww carrot cake

15 minutes on elliptical – 300 crunches

Okay yesterday was a little crazy for me…I never drank all my water…that is something that I really need to do… I also found myself have trouble trying to balance out my food... and I had some crazy cravings…

1 liters of water

Breakfast:
1 cup of Cherrios
½ cup of skim milk
1 small banana
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk

Lunch:
2 slice whole wheat toast
1egg with ¼ cup of veggies(onion, mushroom, green red yellow & orange peppers)
1 slice of no fat cheese
1 cup of mixed greens, peppers, onions, cucumber, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp of low fat Catalina dressing
ww carrot cake
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk

Snack:
1 cup of tea with 2tbsp of skim milk
1 bag of cheesies (Been craving them for a while shouldn’t gave in but has been a long time):eek:

Supper:
1 Fillet of Sole (Rolled & Stuff with Shrimp & Garden Grill)
cup of French onion soup
ww carrot cake
1 cup of diet pepsi

15 minutes on the ellipitical.

So far today I seem to be ok...breakfast could have been a little better though...but not to bad...

Breakfast:
Breakfast to go bar
1 small orange
1 cup of tea with 2 tbsp with milk
2 cups of water
 
Okay...the past few days have been horrible! I haven't put much thought into what i was eating and I have been feeling very tired! The cold is going through my house so I'm sure that's what's wrong...I am back on track to day...I weighed myself yesterday and I was 171...yeah! That means I have 12 pounds to go and I will not be over weight any more!!!:cool1:

Breakfast:
1 cup cheerios
1 banana
1/4cup milk
1 cup of tea(black)

Snack:
1/2 Tuna Sandwich (tuna,1/2 no fat cheese slice, 1 slice toated whole wheat bread)
1 carrott
1 cup of tea (black)

Lunch:
2 egg with 1/4 cup of mixed veggies
1 spinach salad (3/4 cup of mixed veggies & 1 cup of spinach) 1 tbsp ranch calorie wise
1/2 slice no fat cheese
1cup of mixed fruit

Already have my 2 liters of water drank!:banana:
I will post the rest of my food later and I plan on doing my exercise in a little bit! I had to take my dd to Kinderstart this morning so I haven't had a chance to exercise yet! They grow up too fast!

Dinner:
2 slices of whole wheat bread grilled with 3 slices of turkey breast and one slice of no fat cheese.
1 ww carrott cake(love those things!)
1 carrott
1 cup of black tea

Thanks for the good vibes Jamie! I am feeling much better, and so is DS. We are just waiting for test results for him so that we can start allergy shots again. Last time it was for 7 years. Hope it isn't that long this time!

Ok...today has been hard! Dh who enjoys his sweets...just usually buy's things I don't like...lol...anyway he bought choclate dipped oat cakes today and I had one...normally I would just have a ww carrot cake and I'd be fine...but I really wanted an oat cake so I decided too. I know it isn't a big deal but I really don't want to continue to maintain my weight like I did in 2006 I want to loose my last 12 pounds so I really need to make healthy only choices right now!

This is what I ate today! 2 liters of water.
Breakfast:
1egg& 1/2 cup of mixed veggies
2slices of whole wheat bread
1 cup mixed berries
1 cup of hot tea

Lunch:
1 cup of spinach - 1 cup of mixed veggies
1 slice whole wheat bread
3 slices of deliturkey breast
1 slice no fat cheese
1 cup hot tea

Snack:
1/2 choclate chip cookie
1cup hot tea

Supper:
chicken (skinless)
1 small potato stuffedwith 1 tbsp of no fat sour cream and 1 slice of no fat cheese
1 choclate dipped oat cake:scared1:
1 cup of hot tea

Okay I just realized why I was craving sweets so much today! I didn't eat enough fruit, veggies and whole wheat grains. Was out all day and by time I got home I was really hungry. These journal entries really give me a better idea of why I eat things I shouldn't!
 
Hi...after the strange food day I had yesterday I figure I should figure out what I am going to eat today before I eat it!

Yeah:cool1: I have my 2 liters of water gone! Always try to drink it early as it is the one thing I fine the hardest to do!

Breakfast:
1 cup of cheerios
1/4 cup of milk
1 cup of hot tea
1 cup of fresh mixed berries & fruit

Snack:
1 slice whole wheat bread
1/2 slice of no fat cheese
1 slice of deli turkey breast
1/2 carrot

Lunch:
11/2 cup broccoli, cauliflower & carrots
1 small potato
1 serving of lean pork
1 coffee with 2 tbsp of skim milk
1 ww carrot cake

Supper:
1 small potato
1 tbsp no fat sour cream
½ no fat cheese slice
¾ serving of chicken (no skin)
1 cup of spinach
1 cup of mixed veggies
1 tbsp of low cal ranch dressing
1 cup of mixed berries and fruit & 1 source yogurt

okay I missed my afternoon snack today...I had three spoon fulls of cheese cake...awh...but better than having a great big piece...
30 minutes of some type of exercise...I tend to be pretty lazy on the weekends!:yay:

I have just decided to challenge myself to a week too no sweets! No even a spoonful! I will allow myself have the weight watcher carrot cake once a day but nothing else! If I keep my promise to myself I will buy myself this really cute skort I wanted!

I normally would not have 2 potato in one day...but it's left overs...not a big potato lover anyway...I do count it as a grain though because of the starch.
 
Thanks for the support! Right now my goal is another 12 lbs to reach 150, any less and I think I may be too thin but we will see. You are doing great, keep it up
