I have seen a lot of post suggesting to take ponchos esp. disposable ones.

My question is this about how many per person is recommended. We are going in June.

Thanks

Hi,

I would take one per person per day, that way you won't run out. They are light and they don't take up much room.

two per person four six days in the parks. This past June we used both of them. That was the first time we had to.

The cheap ones rip really easily. I'd really do one per person per day saving any left overs for your next trip :)

In March, we bought 2 disposable and 1 "good" poncho for everyone (4). Of our 6 days, 2 were rainy. The first we missed the rain by going in the morning and skipping out to the outlet malls before it let loose. The 2nd day was rainy all day, but my husband I just used hoodies (which were soaked by the end of the day, but did hold up well), my son was in the stroller with one of our jackets covering him, and my sd (15) used one of the "good" ponchos. I know June is more of a rainy season, but just giving you a heads up on what we did.

I take at least one per person per day...but I usually carry a couple extra in my bag just in case. You can get them at the dollar store for usually 2 for a dollar. We usually buy my daughter a nice one cause shes in the wheelchair and shes usually carrying all our stuff on the handles. We want to make sure her chair and our stuff stays dry.

Those ponchos are great to sit on after it rains:) Saved us a few wet bottoms..

Just curious why so many I've read in a couple of different places that if you rip a wdw poncho they will give you another for free pretty much for life... Wouldn't it be cheaper just to shell out the 7 bucks or whatever it is for one than to repurchase them over and over again? Not trying to be snarky just curious is all.

I think the reason i like the disposable ones is because with 4 of us I don't have to worry about saving them and trying to fold then up small enough to fit in our bag or that they are going to get our other things wet. If it looks like the rain has stopped i just toss it.

:rotfl: That totally makes sense, my "frugal" mind wouldn't have thought of that. :goodvibes
