I'm trying to pack light for our upcoming cruise. Are ponchos provided for port days if it's raining or should I pack some?

Nothing like that provided. Dress for the weather like you would anywhere. If ponchos are your thing, bring them.

On very rare occasions, we have gotten ponchos from DCL on rainy port days (remember getting them on the first Hawaii cruise and a Canada/NE cruise - that may have been the Hurricane Matthew cruise on the day we met up with the remnant of the storm). But certainly not something we count on. We bring some. If DCL is being generous on a bad weather day, we take that as a bonus.

We were provided them in Alaska, for free. We did not need them as we had raincoats. I would not count on it.

in 2018 it rained at every port. We got new ponchos at every stop. But I don't recall that happening on other cruises. I always pack ponchos just in case because I don't want to rely on DCL to provide them and the take up almost zero space.

I've only seen them provided in Alaska.

It started pouring right as we were pulling into Cozumel on our Western in April and they handed out ponchos.

We got them 7 years ago when we got off in St. Martin and it was pouring. I remember not believing Disney was giving something away.

Ours was on our Western Caribbean. They actually delayed us getting tenders to Grand Cayman because a "passing" shower became torrential and when we got down to the deck to get the tender they were literally tossing cases of poncho's from a back room to make sure they had enough to give them out to everyone.

They gave them away in 2017 - we were doing the western Caribbean on the fantasy. It was raining so hard when guests were going to their excursions in Cozumel - we watched the poor souls in ponchos getting onto catamarans and other boats in sideways, driving rain. We were so glad we got to stay on the dry ship :)

spend $5 at Walmart getting panko's before our September 9-16 Wonder Alaska Cruise. One day when we were getting off the ship they were providing those pictured above free of charge.
