We used to be able to fly really cheap from Milwaukee to Detroit, Minneapolis or Marquette MI for like $30. Now you are lucky if you can get a flight for under $200 and if you do, they just might cancel it, because the flight isn't full.

I'm behind on posting as I'm now a working girl. Yup back to work as professional school photographer. I'm now with Lifetouch and will be taking school portraits. Hopefully after this week I can pull an update together as the next day AK and the DIS mom 5k is too awesome not to relive!

So after a long break here we go...

Since we went back to the lodge to park the car, we took the bus to AK. I guess I thought the bus would be faster since you are like five minutes from the park entrance. Not so much. It was like 15 min to wait. Not bad but just an FYI.

I love this park for the atmosphere they have created. But boy can it get crowded. I think we made our way back towards Expedition Everest first. Lonnie agreed to be our sherpa. Something about the roller coaster she just didn't like. We said we would meet her shortly. The lines were crazy long again. We grabbed fast passes for the future. Even the fast pass line so we decided to jump in the regular queue. The sign said only a 20 min wait. Yea right...it was like 40. The only redeeming part is that I really got to look at all of the work they put into the ride to make it authentic.

When we finally got off of the ride, it took a bit to find Lonnie as she was shocked to see how long it took us to get through the line. So of course it was time for a drink



but was soon followed by a quack attack.


Those ducks can be vicious.

We went back and used our fast passes and jumped in the single rider line so we rode it 3 times in fairly short order. Awesome times.

Then we started to make our was towards Dinoland. I was feeling hot and a little off. So the girls hit a few rides in there while I took it easy then we all went back in time and nearly brought a dinosaur back with us.

From there it was back to the AKL pool and some relaxation along with killer birds and prepping for the DIS moms 5k. oh did someone say it was May the 4th???

And don't feel bad- I had to finish my other TR before I left for vacation- so I have been very neglectful of the DISmoms- but I will be back soon!!

And it's too bad Drea was so scared on Dinosaur- I was kinda surprised, since she jumps outta planes, and all- but I guess there's no dinosaurs on the ground when she jumps! Oh- maybe they are in the plane and that's why she jumps!

You're right, we do still have a ton of fun to relive- I will try to update at least once before I go to California-

Hey all late with my 2cents as always lol. We had a weekend in Palm Springs and then school shopping and then registering the boys for High School and Middle school with them starting Wed. So we have been busy over here on he west coast.. plus I'm busy primping and getting Cali ready for El LMAO!

We woke up to my friends enjoying a cup of Kahlua out on the balcony (don't judge me LOL)


Then like El and Laura said we went to breakfast a Kona. When El made reservations she asked us all where we would like to go and I of course replied "Where ever, Im just going to be happy I'll be there! LOL" but then I followed that up with, "I really love Kona Breakfast if we can fit that in LMAO.

On our way there El and I saw this sight and a heavy sigh was let out!


Once we were done we walked down the stairs to get the car and saw a cute site, a mother duck with her ducklings.


Then a dad came down in a Ant's Hat (You have to love when grown adults dress up in Disney!!)


Outside we again were tormented by this horrific sight!


From the Poly we headed over to AK, where Loni was such a rebel and drove the wrong way to park... actually we just followed a line of about 20 cars. But when they had us park basically yelled at us for going the wrong way, oh well no worries not like anyone was leaving the park at 10am!

Don't forget where we parked ladies!


They still had everything set up from the night before's 5k. I had thought about signing up for it back when we were planning the trip but never did.. then little did I know I would be able to... more on that later!

Aw we were walking to ride EE I saw sleeping Beauty, Snow White, & Belle


They were doing some work and had great quotes up on the wall.. this one summed up the DISMoms trip for me!

Again the lines SAID 20mins, but we knew better 40mins later... we were ready to ride

We got to talking before the ride and decided to do an epic pic... Call Us .. MAYBE lol, The only one that looks like she's on the phone is laura, El looks like she has a bad connection (maybe your phone got wet again, can you hear me now LOL) and me.. well I must have a solicitor on the other end cuz again I look scared (maybe its a heavy breather LOL)


After our ride we got out to see the FASTPASS line was hecka long..


So we took that time to get a drink and enjoy each other and the park. Look a hidden Mickey


Laura became the duck whisper'er


After we had hydrated, we went back and used our fastpasses and saw the cutiest site, a family celebrating an anniversary. Mom and Dad were in matching wheelchairs and had on bride and groom ears. My camera was too slow to catch the bride but I got the groom and it was adorable as they each had a grandkid on their lap. I wanna do this when Im their age!


Lonnie got a great pic of us as she was holding El's bag LOL


And since she had been such a great sport we went on her favorite ride.
Dinosaur, aka, Indian Jones, aka Jurasic Park.



Next Up: YES Im scared, but who's tired...hmm???

Glad to see you stayed hydrated during this trip!

That coaster is great! The views are awesome, as was that shot of the train coming out the mountain. I'd ride them rides with you! About the only ones i don't do are the big drop towers, where the seats are open. But any coaster or ride at Disney are quite doable!

Not this year- traded Jersey week for dec 26-28 followed by a 7 night eastern on the fantasy over nye! really enjoying California - we leave sf today and are heading to Yosemite !
