Poncho replacement

trying to start packing for our trip in 21 days woot! I have 2 ponchos that I bought on our last trip 13 years again, both are clear with mickey on the back. Do you know if they will replace the one with rip ? I saw online last posts on this was 2016.

Please know I’m not looking for an handout, just deciding if I should pack or not or worth asking.

Idk having never heard of that but fwiw those aren't the ponchos sold anymore.

I have never had a problem replacing ponchos from the previous year... I don't mention when I purchased it though..

Two years ago when we were there last, one of the ponchos developed a tear within an hour or two. They actually requested a receipt to exchange it. YMMV.

Same here. I was told they will replace it only if you purchased it on the same trip and with a receipt. This was a year ago.

Wow that is relatively new then.
We’ve been going fairly frequently since 2000 and were always told they have a lifetime guarantee. We had old yellow ones that ripped and had them replaced many times.
Like so many nice things about Disney World, that’s a thing of the past now.

We just got back and I had my poncho replaced after 2 days because it tore. The CM did ask for the receipt before she would exchange it. I’m not sure what would have happened if I didn’t have it.

As far as I know, no returns or exchanges on items like that without a receipt... If I were you, I would just buy some ponchos from the dollar store before your trip. Paying $10 for a trashbag with a hood in the parks is insane! I went during a tropical rain storm last summer and literally wore my $1 poncho for several hours each day of my week-long trip. It didn't have any rips or tears until the second to last day. Since I am going back during hurricane season this summer, I went ahead and spent the extra dollar and bought two ponchos just in case.

Slightly OT, but i didn't realize the ponchos had changed from the clear ones with Mickey on them. We still have our yellow ones and a couple clear ones as well. What do the new ones look like?

Last year I was wearing my several year old Disney Poncho and it ripped down the side. I went into a shop and asked if I could use their stapler to try and salvage the poncho for at least the rest of the day. The CM chuckled at my request and just gave me a new one.

I bought $5 ponchos at target last year. I don’t like using the Disney ones. Everyone wears them and it’s difficult to find my family in a sea of Mickey ponchos !

I'd just pack $.87 Walmart ponchos found in camping section. They are teeny tiny before unfolded!
