I do like the necklace you bought but I see what you mean about it looking a little plain. I really like the new necklace! I do love pearls so I always lean towards them! Thanks! I did find them on one website but the price was actually higher than the MSRP!!!!! I'll keep looking for them though... or atleast a more affordable version of them!

1 year from today I will officially be Mrs. Harp!!!!!!!!

Today was a good but expensive day. First off I woke up today knowing that my wedding is exactly 1 year away!!! (that is IF I get my date). Then I bought myself 2 things I have been wanting for a long time... a new computer and an iPhone!!!!!! How did I become such a lucky girl you may ask??? Well it's kinda a long story but I'll post it in case anyone is bored (plus it makes me feel better if I justify it)!

DF leaves starting in January for his out of town clinical rotations, he'll be gone for a total of about 6 months but will be able to come home most weekends so it won't be too bad. However, right now we only have 1 computer and he will have to take it with him to do his schoolwork on... so I had to get a new computer. I've been debating just getting an affordable PC but have been drooling after a MacBook for a long time now. Well my one friend works at the apple store and turns out she was able to get me her employee discount So I went and bought myself a 13 inch MacBook Pro!!!!! DF is worried he won't know how to work it so he just wants to keep the PC- fine by me!!!!

So then while I was still at the mall my brother called me and told me that he's had it with Verizon and that he's cancelling our contract on Thursday (which is the day our contract is up) but I hadn't been planning on dealing with it right this moment. It's a long story but I went in on a family plan with him and my parents 2 years ago bc we thought it would save us some cash if we split a plan and all paid our respective portions. I may have saved a few bucks but it has been nothing but headaches, my brother is the "main" person on the plan and is always mad at verizon about one billing issue or another... plus he added his gf now fiance to the plan without ever telling me or asking if it was ok (or bothering to adjust how much I was paying since now the bill should have been split by 5 instead of 4) Anyways since my brother is the "main" person on the plan he could totally cancel my phone and with the contract up in a few days he had full intentions to do so (but never told me this til today... right after I dropped a whole ton of money). I knew I would be breaking away from our family plan soon since I knew the contract was up sometime around now but didn't realize it was going to be a "you have til Thursday to sort this out or your phone will be cancelled". So I either had to sign a new contract with Verizon or decide to switch carriers. Anyways I've wanted an iPhone forever but had been planning to wait a few months since I had a few other big purchases to make (disney trips, x-mas presents, the above mentioned computer). But I decided to just go for it so now I have a beautiful new iPhone too!

Then to end my wonderfully expensive day I made us a delicious lobster dinner complete with champagne... yum!

Oooh Congrats on getting a macbook, and getting such a great deal on it! I got a macbook in June and I love it . We were also able to get a free ipod touch at the time and a free printer which has been awesome.

I do so many wedding related projects on it that I tell myself it has really paid for itself since it would have cost me $$$ to pay other people to do these things for me.

One piece of advice, don't let your DF use it...or pretty soon he'll want his own like mine does! I even tell him, that when we get married, what's mine is his...except for my mac.

And an iphone too, so exciting! We both really want them but we're going to do a family plan and my contract isn't up until Jan and DF's isn't up until Feb, which seems like forever away.

Congrats on the new computer. Macbooks are very snazzy!

And iphones are super fun!! And they just came out with the dis application!! When our verizon contract was up I decided to switch to ATT but my parents and brother decided to come with me, so my "adult" move turned into another family plan. It is definitley worth the money. I often think how totally unnecessary it is to have the phone and pay $30 extra a month, but it's so handy, and fun, and we've had fairly good service. The apps are awesome, and having the internet all the time really comes in handy sometimes.

Less than a week until your trip right? It's going to be so much fun!!

First off...congrats on being a year out! You must be so excited!

Secondly, in September, I celebrated my 3- year anniversary with my MacBook Pro! You will absolutely love it. Be prepared for a learning curve, because I was ready to throw mine out the window a couple times during the "learning" stage, but I wouldn't own a different computer now! (despite the fact that my BFF's DH works for Microsoft). And as far as resiliency...mine is over 3 years old, has been all over Iraq, dropped (literally) several times and still runs great.

And just wait...your DF will come over to the Apple side! DH had bought a $5K gaming laptop before we got married, but after all his "issues" with Vista and after he saw how seamlessly my Mac ran...he's convinced. So, we're buying an iMac in January!

And I'm jealous about the iPhone! I'm hoping to get one when we get back to the states in January!

I got an iPhone a couple of weeks ago and I love it! There are apps for all the disneyworld menus and wait times!

You must be soooo excited to leave for WDW soon! Please take pics of your Kona dinner! That is my fav place!

Maybe I should add that to our vows... "I promise that what's mine is yours... except for my mac" The iPhone is AMAZING! It's really user friendly... it's almost exactly the same as the iTouch you have except it's always online no matter where you are and it has a phone in it! I may have to ask for some help with doing wedding projects on it though bc I'm a little worried I won't be able to figure it out But hopefully it will be as simple as I've found the phone!

My fav thing from Kona is coconut almond chicken. It is the best meal I had at disney! Oh, and the salad with it is sooooo good! And the lapu lapu drink (the pineapple one)! Oh, and the bread they start you with.....and the Kona Kone for dessert! I'm so hungry

Mmmmmm... sounds so good! We actually ended up being able to eat at Ohana so we didn't eat at Kona... but I did have the Lapu Lapu- yum!

Hey Everyone! I'm back from my fun in the sun and am back in the frozen state of Minnesota. I had a lovely time with my parents and at Disney! I am now using my new MacBook and as soon as I figure out pics I will have a short TR for you- we did the highlights of all 4 parks in 2 days it was exhausting but wonderful! I always got a few wedding details done while I was in FL too! Stay tuned!

Thanks Kelly! I'm so glad we were able to meet up! I hope my FMIL liked her present- she hasn't returned it... yet We ended up getting her a necklace and earrings and she wore them a couple times when I was there so hopefully that means she really likes them!

Alright ladies! Finally a few updates for you! I am having a little trouble with Photobucket from my new computer but I'm sure I'll figure it all out eventually. So while I was in Florida I did get a few wedding related things done so I will update you on that first and then will interupt the wedding planning for a quick mini-TR

We found a dress for my mom to wear for the wedding. I'm really happy with it, I think it looks better on her than on the hanger but she wouldn't let me take pics of her in it bc she want to lose weight. If she does it can be altered down easily. We found it at Dillards, normally it was $160 but it was on sale for $50 Photobucket won't let me rotate it for some reason so sorry you'll have to turn your head sideways

The color is a little distorted in the pics but it's a really pretty fuschia-

I also picked up some shells to hold the sand for the sand ceremony (the hour glass STILL hasn't come- I'm going to call tomorrow). I also got a piece of coral for us to put the rings on for the ceremony.

Well that's it for the wedding updates... next up- MINI DISNEY TR!!!
