PolynesianBride'sPJ 12/6/10 Sunset Pointe- TEASER PICS UP!

I just read through your pj and am all caught up. I'm sooo glad you got the Ramona dress... take it from a girl who's been there, done that... it's not worth it to settle where the dress is concerned. :)

That dress is perfect for you and looks beautiful with all the plans you've got going.

Thanks! Glad you found my PJ! I believe you are also looking at having a VR at Sunset Pointe- I think it's just beautiful there. I can't wait to wear my dress there... I don't think I'll ever regret it:goodvibes

yay for ringing them up! I wonder if you will get Diane like us as our weddings are close together!

I didnt ask for them to call because of the time difference, instead i asked for the consultant to email me, and then, at least everything from the start will be in writing and you can reply to them whenever! hehe!

Oh- and i emailed misty today and she emailed me straight back! woo! i told her our date and asked her if she could save it if she is free. what package are you going with?

I was wondering if she did a print book / album of photos -i havent totally looked at her website but when i was Francks this year i saw the most amazing old fashioned story books that were the disney weddings photos album!

I hope misty does something like this!

I'm so excited to find out who my consultant is!!! I guess I haven't heard anything bad about any of them so it probably doesn't matter:laughing: I do wish I would have just asked them to e-mail me because that works so much better with my schedule!

YAY for contacting Misty! We are doing her "broke and in love" package- it's for just 4 hours and her smallest package. We are going to get the option with the CD that comes with a few prints but doesn't come with an album. I know she does do albums but am thinking I'll try to do my own to hopefully save some money. One of my friends just invited me to a Creative Memories party (it's a scrapbooking company). I've had great intentions of doing scrapbooks before but have never actually finished one:rotfl: I like it but don't have a lot of space in my downtown apt for all the supplies. Anyways, now they have digital scrapbooking where you design it online then they print it as a photobook- they even have Disney themes!!!!

I think you must have spoken to the same girl as me Adelia - she said the same thing to me. DFTW me today - it took 2 working days

That means I should hear something on Wednesday or Thursday then:cool1:

Yeah for calling Disney!
:woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana:

Sorry I'm so behind Adelia!! Your dress is absolutely amazing!!! It's like a movie start dress!!! You serisouly could be a famous person in a magazine in your photos, you will be SO stunning on your big day!!!

I looove the back and with buttons down it is just going to be even more amazing!!

Thanks Torsie! I really wanted something with a subtle sexy glam feeling and I just love the way I feel in it! I should try to find a pic of what the buttons will look like... I hope it looks good with them on:scared: but I think it will:goodvibes

Yeah for calling dftw!!!
:goodvibes:cool1::goodvibes:cool1:

yay for calling and for booking misty!!!! :goodvibes
:yay::):yay::):dance3::):yay::):yay:

So I've been reading a lot of other brides posting in their PJ's about starting diets so I thought I would share as well. I have never dieted in my life and I do not work out. Luckily I am still by no means fat... although based on my lifestyle I should be. I weigh 20-25 lbs more than I did in high school but I was way too skinny then. I always tried to gain weight back then because I got teased for being so little so I started eating fast food, candy, and junk food all the time trying to gain weight. I now am what I consider a very healthy weight but my body hates me because I still am eating like crap. I work nights as a nurse at the hospital... and there is a McDonalds IN the hospital:laughing: Now I came from a hospital where there was NO hot food at night so it seems like a wonderful thing... but now I eat at McDonalds almost every night I work and sometimes several times in one night:scared1: And if that isn't shameful enough... when I wake up I usually eat cookies for breakfast:guilty:

Now this may sound like some of your dreams come true (eat like crap and still be little) but I know it is definately taking it's toll on my body. First off very severe heart disease runs in my family. 3/4 grandparents died of heart disease. My dad (who is also very skinny) had 2 coronary bypass open heart surgeries before the age of 55... and he has been very strict about eating healthy his whole life because he saw his dad die of a heart attack so young but he still ended up with heart trouble (he never worked out though even though he eats healthy).

I also just don't have alot of energy most days. I actually even went to the Dr a few months ago because I get so fatigued I thought I might have hypothyroid- it checked out ok and the Dr told me to stop working nights... not really an option. I know part of it is my schedule but I also know it has a lot to do with my eating habits. I feel like crap... I eat a high sugar high fat meal... I feel better for a bit and then I hit bottom again and am back in McDonalds:eek:

DF is also now on my case because he is really worried that my eating habits and lack of exercise will cause me to die young:sad2: He has always kind of teased me about how I eat like crap... he calls it my "simple sugar diet" meaning if it's not a simple sugar I won't eat it:lmao: He used to think it was cute/funny that I eat horrible and am still small but recently he has really started to think about my family history and the likelihood that I will have a heart attack at a young age. He has struggled with weight on and off his whole life but has always lived a much healthier lifestyle than me, plus after we got engaged he lost 40 lbs on weight watchers and has kept it off:banana: I'm really proud of him for doing that:goodvibes He would kill me if he knew I was telling you he did WW:lmao:

This past month I keep telling myself I will make gradual changes in my diet and will start working out... but I haven't done anything. Even though my weight is still okay (maybe up 5 lbs over my "goal") I have really noticed my body changing as I get older and I don't really feel that comfortable in a swimsuit anymore (or naked). Even though I'm still thin I'm what I call "fat skinny"- I have no muscle tone and I have more cellulite on my thighs than my friends that have fuller figures that are healthy and active :sad2: Also I'm to the point where I will have to buy new jeans soon because they look like they've been sprayed on:scared1: And on my honeymoon I really would like to not be worried about what I look like in a swimsuit as I lounge around the Poly pool and beach:beach:

I don't care about loosing lbs so all the standard diets don't really work for me. I am a true believer that weight is just a number. I really just need to tone but don't know how to do it and don't want to be super skinny again just healthier and feel better. A girl I work with is doing P90X (a super intense 90 day program that involves 1-1.5 hours a day) she loves it and wanted me to do it with her but I know that just is not reasonable for me given my severe lack of motivation. So she suggested I meet with the owner of her gym who also does personal training for a very reasonable price... she somehow convinced me to stop by the gym after work yesterday just to meet this lady. I did and I somehow aggreed to go today for a consultation, body composition testing, and to create a plan (she's doing it free of charge). She said she thinks if I am just willing to make a commitment to being healthy I should be able to just do a few sessions with her and develop a program I can do at home by myself. Sounded really great at the time but now I'm horrified about what I'm getting myself into:scared1:. I think I'm really just scared that I will fail:headache: But I am going to keep the appt today and I will let you know what they tell me... maybe I will atleast learn something that I can share and help another DISbride out.

I hear ya abou the toning stuff, I want to tone a little as well. I say try the consult and see what happens, they can make things gradual for you and you should be able to keep up with it on your own. The food part is the hardest for me, and I could not imagine having McDonalds tempting me every night! You can do it girl, your tough enough to keep it up and you will rock:thumbsup2

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Go Adelia!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

You know what's awesome for toning? The power plate!

I'm too fat for it to be worth it right now, but you notice a difference in like 2 weeks!

Last year I looked like I had lost loads of weight when sometimes I hadn't lost any as the power plate is that good (warning though some days after you up you PP workouts you can't walk!)

But it's 30 mins 3 times a week and tones amazingly!!

(It's doesnt help your heart or lungs out though so you do still need to do other exercise sadly) But I definitely plan on getting back to PP for maybe 6 weeks running up to my WDW vacation and then maybe 3 months before my wedding. :)

Thanks Sam! I'm excited as I have never been fit or toned in my entire life! I'm hoping that I will be able to kick my nasty McDonalds habit:sad2: but it's just sooo good.

I've never heard of the power plate- I'm definately going to have to check that out! Thanks for the tip!

So I had my consultation and body analysis and it's been confirmed... I'm "skinny fat":sad2: that's even what the trainer called it:laughing: She said even though my body weight is low that my muscle mass is way too low as well:guilty: However the good news is she thinks she can fix me. She said I need to gain 4-6 lbs in lean muscle but that I will loose fat at the same time but hopefully my overall weight will stay the same but I will look different. She said her goal is to TEACH me so that I can be fit for the rest of my life not just to tell me what to do for the day so that I'm dependent on her. I am going in Friday for my first training session and she is going to teach me a total body workout that I can do at home... she said it will take about an hour including warm up and cool down and that if I can do it 3 times a week I should notice I'm stronger in 6 weeks, see clear results in 3 months, and a total body transformation in 6 months:yay: She said the goal is for me to learn about 3 different routines and then if I mix them up it should create enough muscle confusion that I won't plateau.

The best part is she said that I don't need to stress too much about the cardio right now... she said that cardio is important for my heart health and lung capacities but that it's not going to transform my body quickly (this isn't the case for everyone just my body type I guess:confused3). She said I should focus on building my muscle mass a bit first and then the cardio will be easier and I won't hate it AS much:laughing: Also good news is that she said she's not going to tell me what NOT to eat... just what TO eat. She said she notices once people start working out they naturally start to change their eating as well- she's never had a client like me I guess:rotfl: My only assignment right now is to eat a whole wheat bagel with natural peanut (yuck- but she gave me the name of a "good" tasting natural PB) and a piece of fruit about an hour before I go in on Friday- sounds easy enough so far.

Since we didn't work out at this session and I'm in my workout clothes I think I am going to go do 20 minutes on the elliptical- so wish me luck! Thanks for the support! We can do this ladies... I am feeling very optimistic today and think if we support each other we can all reach healthy bodies before our weddings!:grouphug:

Sorry I've been MIA from your PJ for a few days... I missed ALOT!!! :guilty:

Ok so :woohoo: for booking misty!!! I'm so glad that whole thing worked out for you!

I'm glad you called dftw! I called them and did the same thing, spit out all kinds of questions until i got a WC. :lmao: Poor girl who answered the phone must've thought i was nuts! Anyway I hope you get to talk to them and start getting the ball rolling. I got Kristi, if you get her she's VERY nice and pretty quick to return calls. :thumbsup2

Lastly, Kudos for toning up! I feel the same way about my weight. i'm by no means "fat" but i have old lady arm wings... no muscle at all :guilty: i didn't join a gym i bought a wii and it works pretty good! But i'd love to know how your session with the personal trainer goes!

I'm so happy things are feeling like they're moving forward for you!:banana:

We have a Wii and Wii Fit. I love it! I haven't been able to do anything for the last 5 weeks. I had surgery and I have one more week of sitting around on my butt doing nothing... no lifting anything over 5lbs.

The good news is I haven't gained anything while sitting around, but I really need to get working on my butt/thighs... and my arms could definitely use some toning. Soon, soon...

As you get more fit and change your eating habits, you really will not like MickeyD's anymore... I've been on a better eating plan since last August and don't think I could stomach McD's right now. :cool1: :lmao:

Working in EMS I hear you about the whole eating bad thing. Here is what I did. I pack my lunches/dinners/snacks and DO NOT bring money with you to work. it cut down on my budget in a big way...and think-more money for the wedding. At least that is what worked for me. You will see a difference.

I hear you on the motivation thing. I'm forcing myself to walk a couple of times a week. Now I just have to get my diet under control...Some days it is easier to order dinner than cook. I have to get out of that habit.

Baby steps. It will all work!

Thanks Katie:goodvibes I think the Wii looks really cool but don't know if I'd be motivated enough without someone keeping me accountable- let me know how it goes for you!

I really hope you're right about that because I went to MickeyD's TWICE last night:guilty: The first time I got a coffee and a cinnamon melt then the second time I got the 6 pc Chicken Nugget meal... yum... I have got to STOP! I'm sorry to hear about your surgery but sounds like you're recovering well:flower3:

EMS would be way hard bc then I would drive to all the different fast food places... variety:thumbsup2 I agree it's usually way easier to order out than to cook... plus I'm just not a very good cook:sad2: but I can bake lots of yummy cookies:rotfl: This weekend is DF's birthday so I'm gonna eat whatever I want but then it's down to business with the exercise and the eating. (I guess I always have some reason to wait just a few more days:upsidedow but really for real this time:laughing:)

Adelia .. you sound like my food bag twin! I cant believe you at mc d's twice in a day! That is sooo me! tehe

But it wont be me for the next month or so... because im going to be a good girl and you need to be a good girl too! Although i honestly think you have an amazing looking body and i'd kill to have a body as small as yours.

Would it help you if you took some food into work with you? I understand that there is no way that the mcd smell wont tempt you but if you took food into work and you fancied mcd's then you will think '' hmm i dont want to waste the food i brought in'' so it might help you stay clear of the bad mac!

what i am doing now is that im just not buying ANY crap at all... i used to buy big family sized packs of crisps and cakes and everything and eat them all in one go! If i dont buy them- i cant eat them.

I feel for you though, because it must be really hard to work the hours you do and not crave fast food!

Awww Stacey you're so sweet. I'm majorly cheering you on and you're one of the reasons why I thought I should get my act together... I thought Stacey and the girls are going for it so I guess I should too while I have some support! I usually do bring some sort of food to work with me but usually after I have a really stressful call all I want is McDonalds... then I figure I deserve it because I just saved a life:woohoo: or if it went poorly then I need in to drown my sorrows:sad1: Not a very effective coping mechanism- maybe I should start buying more delicious things to put in my lunch... not very healthy but maybe it would wean me off my McDonalds dependence:confused:

I hear you with the bad call thing. I have ice cream for dinner for bad calls. It's part of our Bad Day Protocol! Wish I had a good solution...let me think about that one...:confused:

Well im here to cheer you on too!

You could get something really tasty to take to work with you (like, here in the UK we have a shop called Marks & Spencer and it does the most delish food- for lunches or dinners, like sandwiches and pastas in boxes and even though its expensive and pretty fatty, its a lot better for ya-well calorie wise im not sure comparing it to a cheeseburger!) but you could experiment with taking different things into work.

Orrrr you could eat a nice big meal before you go to work and take in healthy snacks (low fat biccys/snack bars/flapjacks/nuts ect) whatever you like so it doesnt make you go to mc'ds!

I really do understand where you are coming from though, we all turn to junk food as a reward (i used to reward myself a takeaway on a friday, sat & sun just because i done a weeks work??????:confused:)

to be honest, there is a guy at work who is the healthiest looking person, he is really tall and muscly, hasnt got a belly, not really active - BUT he eats nothing but junk. He have never eaten a veggie or fruit since he was little, he even refuses to eat carrot cake 'because its got carrot in!' - so i wouldnt worry yourself too much about eating 'REALLY' healthy. My brother is the same, he is as thin as anything, 6ft tall (16 years old!) and he eats about 10 meals a day- bad meals. He has never put an ounce of weight on. Some people are lucky i guess with not putting on weight but i just think, you only live once so dont kill yourself with dieting!

plus - you could save lots of money by not going mc'ds!??? ey??? you could treat yourself to something after you have saved up all the odd change that you would have in your pocket for burgers and spend it on something nice for yourself for a reward!

Anyways, enough talk about mc'ds - (NO MORE BAD MAC DONALD TALK! I dont know what the time is over your way but if you are at work already then keep away from you know what and if you are not at work yet then take something with you to eat! hehehee. And let us know how this training goes! :flower3:

We have protocols for everything else... there should totally be one for this:lmao:

hey...what questions did u ask dftws to get them to send you to a wc?

First I just asked lots of questions about the 2010 prices, MK photoshoot, Epcot photoshoot, Wishes Cruise, etc... still wasn't getting anywhere so then I pretended to not know if I wanted to do a Wishes or Escape (only very partially true). I said I'd been planning on having an Escape but was adding so many extras that I thought I may be near the minimum for Wishes but that we were set on having everything at the Polynesian and was wondering if there was a place for a Wishes reception at the Polynesian... bingo... "I'm not sure if we've ever done a Wishes reception there- let me put you on hold... ok let me take down your info":banana::banana::banana:

I have watched it probably 3 times. Even watched it recently... DF made me watch it the night before I started this job because he knew I would basically live there:rotfl: I'm gonna have to grow some will power.

You're right Stacey... ENOUGH MCDONALDS TALK! I am all talk and no action. I am going to give it up for the week. Just one week, that should not be hard- I am tough, I can find something else to eat!!!! Part of the problem is that I bring stuff but since I go all over the hospital I have to put it in a random fridge in another nursing unit and not everyone knows me so sometimes they look at me funny when I'm eating lunch in "their" break room.
My manager is going to get me the key to the staffing office at work so I can eat in there- it's our "home base" but at night if the house sup isn't in there she locks it:confused:. Plus I just decided I am going to go to my 10 year reunion in July... I thought I wouldn't be able to bc of my work schedule but now it looks like it should work out. So I have about 7 weeks and if I keep up my current habits I may not look the best for that! Stay tuned for an exciting update!

So today when DF woke me up he said "Disney called you today:cool1: I know because it was a 407 number:rotfl:" Sure enough while I was sleeping away Dianne called from DFTW and she will be my consultant:goodvibes. I know Stacey has her... anyone else know anything about her???? She sounded very nice on her message:confused3 It was past 5 Disney time when I got the message so I will have to try to call her back tomorrow!
