PolynesianBride'sPJ 12/6/10 Sunset Pointe- TEASER PICS UP!

I love all of those centerpieces!!!! But if it were Me i'd use the single orchid... I'd put them around the vase that your bouquet will be in and then scattered throughout the table. :thumbsup2 But thats just me... any of those would look amazing on the table!:goodvibes

Ooooh love all of those ideas :thumbsup2 You have such good taste!
Thanks Gemma!

Just a thought...What if you took the orchid in the pink stones (like you suggested) and throw a light cube in it??? It would give you the pink and some sort of sparkle or something a little different...isn't O'hana a little dark too??? Like I said...just a thought
OOOOHHHHHHH! I love that idea- I will definately have to remember to ask about this! I'm just not sure if the dish would be deep enough for the glow cube:confused3

Adelia those are pretty- :goodvibes
Thanks Tammy!
Gorgeous centre pieces.

All of those centerpieces are so gorgeous!!
Thanks! It's nothing too extravagant but will hopefully set our table apart just a bit.

Thanks Katie! Depending on how much the other one I like is I may just end up going with the single orchids. It will be interesting to see what they cost:confused:

So not a ton going on right now... which is why it's been awhile since I've updated- bad Disbride:headache:

I did finally get in touch over the phone with Dianne (my WC)- we kept playing phone tag (which is my fault bc I work nights and am opposite of the rest of the world) so we e-mailed back and forth a bit and finally just set up a phone appt for this past Thursday. It was really great to talk to her on the phone, she was really nice and answered a lot of my questions. The thing I'm the most excited about is that she said we will be able to have a sign language interpreter there (his grandma is deaf). His mom could technically interpret but I want her to be able to enjoy the ceremony without having to interpret the whole thing.:thumbsup2 She also confirmed that there isn't any place at the Polynesian to have a private Wishes reception. I had found some really old posts about people using Tangaroa Terrace but she said the building had a lot of water damage so they closed it. There have been talks of re-opening it but she said there is nothing currently in process and it would be a pretty big ordeal as Polynesian has gotten rid of all it's staff for private catering and functions since then so it would be like totally starting a new program. There are a few things she's getting back to me on:

1)Confirming that the modern deco cake could be done in fuschia and orange- she thought this shouldn't be an issue but was going to double check
2)Confirming that we could have a harpist at Sunset Pointe and finding out what exact cost would be (DF's last name is Harp so thought this would be cute)
3)Finding out if Disney floral could make lei's like I've been looking at and getting me a rough estimate for these. I had been planning to have them shipped but storage would be a problem, our room will have a mini fridge but don't think I could stuff 10 leis in there:lmao:
4)Seeing if Mickey and Minnie could wear Hawaiian theme outfits for the wedding
5)She had sent me info on having Disney do videography previously but all the packages were way bigger than what we needed. She is going to find out if they can do more of an "escape" package

I think that was about it for that. Tonight we are actually getting "engagment" pics taken by one of the girls I work with who also does photoraphy part time. We are going to start at a downtown park right by our apartment and then work our way through downtown. There are lots of fun fountains and hopefully we'll be able to get some cool pics of the skyline. I'm a bit nervous about how they'll turn out but I guess we can just re-do them if we need to. I'll post them ASAP when I get them!

Great update Adelia! You have got loads of information out of DFTW too! Like you I have been playing phone tag (silly time difference!)

Thanks Gemma! It was really nice to finally talk with someone on the phone- I would definately suggest e-mailing to set up a specific time for a phone appt, otherwise we never would have gotten ahold of each other!

Awww Mickey and Minnie will be so cute in Hawaiian!!! And lei's are such a great idea - I hope DIsney can do them for an OK price for you, as the room fridge may be a bit of a squeeze!

It would be pretty non-traditional to have non-wedding Mickey and Minnie so we haven't decided 100% on Hawaiian Mickey & Minnie but since DF isn't wearing a tux I think it might look better than the traditional wedding Mickey. As for the leis I guess my only other option would be to beg someone at the Polynesian to store them for us:confused: Hopefully Disney floral will come through:rolleyes:

If Disney floral are too expensive could you not but them from a lcoal florist and for them to deliver them on the day? There are a few florists on other peoples PJ's that used other florists for some of the floral?

That will definately be my next task- I need to cut money somewhere because I keep upgrading everything:lmao: I'm in need of a good bargain... actually our engagement pics were a bargain as we had one of the girls I work with do them- I'm posting the link now:banana:

:banana:So on Saturday we got our engagement pics taken. There was a photographer here in Minneapolis that I fell in love with- when I called to see how much it would be for her to do our engagement pics it was $450:scared1:- and that was just to get the pics taken didn't include a disc or any pics or ANYTHING! And buying a disc and the rights to the pics wasn't even an option- I would have had to buy all the pics from the photographer directly:sad2: I was talking about it at work one day and discovered another nurse I work with has a photography business on the side. She only charges $100 flat and gives you a disc with all the rights:banana: I think they turned out great for the most part! She took over 300 pics and then edited them so there are tons! I don't have the disc yet so can't post them directly to my PJ but will post some of my faves later. For now here's the link:
