I was checking on Tikiman's website and was just checking to be sure I was correct. Room 1914 (first floor corner) would be a garden view room and the rooms 2914 and 3914 (2nd and 3rd floor) would be lagoon view rooms. We like first floor and 1914 looks like a great location if it is garden view. Thanks!

From what it says on Tikiman's I would agree with your observation. I would call CRO to verify. As far as the location of the bldg it was just about perfect.

We stayed at Tokelau in October of 2001. It seemed to be the perfect distance from everything except maybe coffee first thing in the morning! Walk out the back of the bldg, or out the side if you are in room 1914 and head toward the TTC or exit the front and make your way toward the quiet pool, Ceremonial Longhouse with it's restaurant options or to the Volcano pool. Even after a full day of park hopping with 3 kids (10, 7 and 4 at the time) we never felt like the walk from the Monorail was too long. It was also very nice having the quiet pool so close for those late night, wind down swims with the kids.

Enjoy yourself, it's a great resort!

This is what I was told when I was there. The reason the first floor room is not considered a lagoon view is because there is not a direct view of the castle because of sunset point. I think it would be a great room to stay in for a garden view price.

Aloha

Steve

Thank you Steve. We like first floor rooms better anyway. Do you think we would have more luck requesting that specific room or a more general location or room request? Do they try to honor specific room requests? We were at the Polynesian conceirge in October and loved it. Thanks for putting together such a great website. The Polynesian is now our favorite resort.

Hi, JRoglitz. We've stayed in *1913* Tokelau, and it was a great lagoon view room at a garden view price. (And the ducks aren't afraid to come in for a visit if you leave your patio doors open!)

Thanks northermouse...Hopefully we can get lucky when requesting a room. Sounds like a great spot!

Not Steve, but do have friends that have worked there. This particular room is one of the most requested on the property. They try to honor requests but if many people request the same thing, someone will not get it. Also that room has to become vacant on the day you check in, chances of that might be slim.

You can ask for it, with a note that you understand it might not be available and anything close would be fine.
