We arrived home a week ago:( from a great trip to the Polynesian concierge and BCV. :D I know there were a couple of things I wanted to share with my fellow DISsers but of course I forgot!

Last night I was reading Growin'upDisney's trip reports...really enjoying them BTW and her pictures reminded me of one thing. The trees at MK as you look toward the castle from the Polynesian have been really trimmed back affording a MUCH better view. For long time Polynesian folks like us (first stay was in '83), you'll recall how much of the castle was visible from the Polynesian. It was great. Over the years, the trees had grown and recently all you could really see was the tops of the towers. No longer true. Check out her picture in her 5th trip report and you can see. It really is a beautiful improvement.

If this is old news on the boards, sorry. We were at Polynesian concierge in Nov. and the trees hadn't been trimmed back. She was there in January and you can really see the difference.

Welcome, CaliforniaDreaming. Have you gone on your trip yet? Did you stick with WL? Don't you hear the Polynesian calling you. We were going to try AKLconcierge next trip but in the end, decided we just love the Polynesian too much.:D Just booked today.

We just got back too.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_4.gif' border=0></a>

We stayed at CR but had dinner at Ohana's one night and then went down to the beach to watch the fireworks. (Please don't be mad at me, couldn't resist the opportunity.) We sat in front of the Hawaii building and had the most wonderful view.

We are planning on staying there in Oct. if I can twist my families arm hard enough. Traveling with in-laws, but I think they'll play along. Can't wait!

I was there in January and I would have to say the view from the 3rd floor Hawaii, LV was incredible. I tried to assess all rooms from ours(3505) and I would say the only room that looked like there might be some tree obstruction was 3508 or 09. I don't recall exactly, but it was one of those two rooms.
Also, I 'm sure you made the right choice on going with the Poly again........Enjoy!

Walt's Fan, we were two floors below you last trip...1505. We've also had 1508 and I think 1511 and 1512. Great views all but I think you're right about the tree. On the first floor all you see is the trunk...no problem. I can imagine higher up, the foilage may block the view somewhat. However, when I'm visiting FL in the winter when there is NOTHING on our trees, alittle foliage might not be so bad.:D

llebrekniT, I hope you convince your family. The Polynesian is magical and concierge is so much fun. Maybe we'll see you there in October!
