Polynesian Moorea Noise at night

It’s almost midnight and I’m wide awake because all I can hear is the hum of loud trucks and backing up beeping noises. We are in Moorea down by the TTC and I’m guessing it’s coming from that area. Anyone know if this is just a weird one night thing or something I should expect for the rest of our stay?

We stayed in Moorea a few weeks ago, I forget the room number, but third floor on the end near TTC. Super quiet every single night as far as outside noise goes. Hopefully just a one time fluke for you. We do use white noise on trips so it's possible it was muffled, but I don't think so. Should be pretty peaceful there.

We are third floor too. It was super quiet during the day. Fingers crossed it’s just tonight. Husband and son sleeping like babies so it doesn’t bother everyone, just me . Might have to figure out a noise machine on my phone.

It wouldn't hurt to check in with the front desk and see if this is a new nightly thing. If it is, perhaps you can ask to move rooms to the other side of the resort.

That stinks when you can't sleep! A couple of times I have forgotten to take my noise machine on quick overnights and I use the White Noise Lite app (its free) and my favorite is the one called Brown Noise. Hopefully you won't need it but jic, check out the app.

Thank you. I finally fell asleep around 2am. I’m definitely downloading the app today to use tonight. Just in case whatever they were working on is ongoing.

I thought about this but didn’t really feel like packing up and moving. It’s a short trip. Hoping the noise machine app works tonight if I still hear it.
