We were thinking..... how about this time, we try something new: like the Spirit of Aloha Show at the Polynesian.

Well....one problem. We're only going for 3 nights, and we are leaving in 50 days.

Please tell me: Is it worth it to book a reservation to get not so hot seats? How long would the 5:15 PM show run? How great is it? Is it worth it?

I hope you can help! :confused3 I need some advice!

I would call and ask how full it is. I haven't done the show, but we checked out the cove when we stayed at the Poly. It did look like the back seats were not that great of a view. Other than that, it gets mixed reviews, but most people that have done a Luau in Hawaii say it is better.

Ok, here is my humble opinion of the Spirit of Aloha...
How long is the show? Toooo long! :crazy2:
And we had "interactive front row" seats!
The food? :crazy2:
The service? :crazy2:

My DH and DS8 also felt this way...yet it is just our humble opinions! :confused3

I called Friday and was able to get a reservation for 4 on June 6 without any problems. I asked how full it was, and the CM explained that there was no way for her to check. Since the ADR rules were changed recently, the 180 day window would have been Dec 8 or so, but they would be honoring anyone who had made their reservations before the rule change.

She said that it would help to arrive early (maybe 45 min prior?) to get good seating, but I've read conflicting info about that too...

We're going to give it a try anyway. It sounds like fun, and I've learned to keep an open mind.

We are going in December this year and would like to try the Luau show. My question is- will it be too cold at night for the show?? I would like to go to the 8pm show if possible.
