I think you will love it! We stayed there in September and were thrilled. As a person who stayed in the GF twice, I used to wonder why people would pay so close in price to stay in a brown building?
Once you are ON the property you don't really see the brown buildings the same way you do from afar. If you enjoy the tropical theme, great hospitality and a FABULOUS view, you picked the right place.
The food offerings were great: cont. breakfast, beverages to drink in or take out all day long, snacks in afternoon, fabulous cookies, finger foods every evening that included egg roles, won tons, cheese, lo mein, mahi mahi, veggies + dip. Evenings had wine, cordials and fabulous desserts.
The rooms were fine. They seemed SOOO much bigger than when we stayed at the WL. Being a non-smoker now, the balcony didn't hold it's awe as it once did for me.
The only complaint I had was when in the lobby I smelled mold and it bothers my sinuses. I've read other people who experienced this in their rooms, but we did not.
