Polynesian - any chance of a deal?

We are probably going to go to WDW in October/November and/or December, is there any chance we can find a discounted room at the Polynesian resort? We are DVC members and I have been out of the loop for a couple of years looking for discounts on hotels. Any suggestions?

You know you can use points for the Polynesian and other WDW resorts, right?

There are no specific discounts for DVC members, except a 25% discount when styaing at hte DVC resorts.

There might be a code that you can use.

There are often discounts on Polynesian rooms, with codes or annual passholder rates. For now, the only discount you can book is AAA or Disney Club.

People are waiting for codes/ap rates for reservations starting after July 3rd now. I think last year discounts first became available for july-aug and discounts for the Fall came out later.

Watch here & mousesavers.com for updates. Of course, if you know you will stay at the Polynesian regardless of rate, it is good to book it as soon as your dates are settled & then keep your eyes open for discounts. Booking through CRO (rather than disney travel co) makes it easier to change to a code rate later.

I don't know about DVC but there were AP rates and public codes for last October. We booked a GV room at the Poly for $204 per night, tax included using a public code. The AP rate was $216 a night tax included. We are going again this October and hope to get another great deal at the Poly.
