It's pretty. I like the colors. Two nightstands are nice.

But I have to say I am not at all pleased that all the bedding in all the DVC resorts is going to the two white sheets with a little runner across the bottom. We had that arrangement on our bed for our December stay at SSR and I froze all night every night. And the little runner thing kept sliding off onto the floor all the time, and trying to pull up the two sheets with the little blanket between was just awkward, and the whole experience was frustrating and not very "luxurious" at all. I hope the next round of refurbs will get rid of that arrangement all together.

Actually, they are making a conscious decision to move all of the resort bedding to this new double sheet arrangement and they are doing away with comforters & bedspreads altogether. They were never cleaned between guests so there was an ewww factor there that they're now just eliminating.

Since they have started these changes I found the queen size bed we had at Aulani was made up OK but the king size bed we had at SSR the last time felt like it was "short sheeted" or something. We were there for 9 nights and even after the bedding was changed mid-trip it still felt like it wasn't made right at the bottom. We don't normally book a 1-bedroom so the king size shiort-sheet thing won't be a big problem for us. I agree it felt "funny" tho.

Is this correct mid July 2015 for POOL OPENING? Also, is there an additional pool like at VGF or will there be 1 pool, the Lava Pool I think it is called?

The member website says the Nanea Volcano pool will be closed until spring 2015. Hopefully it will be open in June. I would like to add a night at the end of our June trip just to check the place out after the refurb.

Did anyone say whether the TVs were in the mirror in the bathrooms like the VGF?

At VGF, I could never get it to work. DW was able to get it to work once and then we struggled to get the thing to turn off.

Until they work better, I hope they don't put them in any other locations.

I agree, the behind the mirror TV's at VGF are all show and no go. I hope that we just let them be and not spend maintenance money on trying to make them work.

The channels aren't programmed correctly and it appears that users can change the settings. Great for home but not so much where guests are pushing buttons.

I really like the shelves in the bathroom of the AKV Jambo 1 bedrooms, that's where we always put our clothes. Wish they'd put something like that in these rooms.

I Like the two shower areas and sinks. The murphy bed looks small. I can see my 16 year old whacking his head on that. LOL
