I haven't been paying attention, but will be on property in a few weeks. Are there any models for the new Polynesian Island Tower villas? Or, will it be open for exploring in early December?
Make an appointment to go to SSR Preview Center. Two weeks ago we were able to get in for a quick tour without our guide and then we met with him a few days later. No pressure!
I think you might. There are only two people working the desk and one took us over to see the models. Otherwise, there were guides showing the models. I think we were an exception as we had spoken to our guide and the request was comunicated with the desk. We met with him later in the week. It is just how it turned out.
Give them a call. They will let you know. Enjoy the visit!
When I went, they were allowing members to tour between 12:30 - 1:30 without an appointment. Otherwise I think you have to go to the member update they are offering and then you can see the model. I walked in around 1 and one of the ladies at the desk took me right over.

We let our guide know we wanted to stop by on a certain day and he was fine with that. We stopped at the desk and they brought us over. We met with him another day and that was by appointment. Hope this helps.

This was the first time where I found the member updates "pushy." It might've just been the particular presenter I saw, but it felt more "timeshare" than "DVC." So I'd recommend the 1230 to 130 hour as well.
