Poly experts - I heard the renos are off schedule...will Fiji be ready end of month?

We'll be going our first time (GV) Sept 29 and am really hoping for Fiji, but with the push back of the renovations, do you think there is any chance of getting a 'new' room?

How much off schedule are they? Actually, other than Hawaii I didn't even realize there was a set schedule.

Just read a post by alohaguy on another post that he was recently in touch with someone at the Poly & was told that Rapi Nui is still not complete & that Fiji might be done first. No timeline given for either one.

It is very difficult to determine when any longhouses other than Hawaii will be finished. It is, however, true that only Rapa Nui, Niue, Fiji, and perhaps Tuvalu were being renovated as of Sept. 1. I believe these are still the only buildings currently being worked-on but the situation changes rapidly. The reasons for no set schedule are errors in ordering from Disney's supplier, contractor scheduling problems, weather, and periods of high occupancy. I wouldn't count on finding a definitive answer to the renovation question. I would just call as your trip gets closer and ask what the status is. That's what I do.
