I called about buying Poly direct the other day, for the perks. My guide told me I would have to go on a waitlist for the points. Has anyone bought Poly direct recently? Trying to see how long that wait really was.
Thank you!

Poly is officially sold out so Unless there are points available you need to go on a waitlist. Remember that you need to buy 75 points direct to get the perks.

The official sell-out date was less than 6 months back, so it's actually pretty tough to guess timing for a waitlist.

Relevant comment: Poly is now $220 per point direct. No incentives, because it's sold out. Unless you want a very small contract, resale is really quite compelling on a financial basis now.

Hi! We just bought at the Poly in December 2017. So it couldn't have been sold out before then? They did say it was very close to selling out. But you know, that could have just been a a sales ploy too. We own 100 points at the Poly and received all the points that day we bought as it was a December use year. Hope this helps!

It wasn’t. You got in just in time.

Poly completely sold out out at the beginning of January. December was the only UY left prior to that.

You really need to run the numbers to see if it’s worthwhile to buy direct just for the perks. My guesstimate is that it’s not worth it.

75 poly points direct are: $220 x 75=$16,500
75 poly points resale: $150 x 75=$11,250

That’s savings of more than $5,000

I don’t know how many AP’s you are gonna buy each year, but an APP(non member) vs DVC AP saves you $260 each. Dvc AP has blockout dates the APP does not.

With 75 points you can only book 3-4 weekdays each year, all depended on the time of year you go.

An AP does not make sense if you don’t go 8+ days within a 12month timeframe.

With “only” 75 points total I don’t think it makes sense. Do you need more than 75 points each year?
