Poll: When in the trip planning process does your trip become "real"?

When in the trip planning process does your trip become "real"?

  • When I first book my trip! (I have everything to look forward to!)

  • About 90 days out! (Planning my meals makes me feel so excited! I'm really going!)

  • When my countdown clock reads "30" days to go! (My planning is completed and I can start packing no

  • A week before I go! (The anticipation is almost too much for me-hurry up all ready!)

  • When I land in Orlando/see those great WDW signs! (Am I really here??)

  • I don't feel the magic fully until I see my castle, "home away from home"! (*sniffles at the thought

  • Halfway through my trip! (I'm totally immersed in the magic...and still have so much to look forward

  • When I get home from my trip! (So many memories...and there's always that next trip to plan!)

Just curious!! IVY :p

Booked my trip last December. As soon as I saw that the deposit cleared my account, it became real! We're finally going to WDW!:Pinkbounc

My trip really became real when I finally had all my PS. I held my breath that I would make those pivotal seatings that I really wanted and when I got everything that was on my list that made the trip become very real.

It will be real the minute I find out when we're moving. :teeth: That's when I'll know if we can go, and all the hotel and PSes will be made the next day.

Whenever Disney posts the park hours for the time I'm going. And since my next trip is in December, it just the last couple days has really hit me as real. Now I'm so excited!

I have to write in my vote of when I get to the airport to board the plane to go to Florida. :D

When I get the tickets in the mail!!!! One of the few things I look forward to getting in the mail box!!!

When the PS's have been made then I know we are going:Pinkbounc
That is the last stage in the "planning" then it's time to start working on the packing:hyper:

I'm in a similar vein of thought. It's usually when I get off the plane in MCO. Although I must admit, I'm getting pretty psyched that my next trip is only 60 days away:Pinkbounc

As a DVC member, I always have a trip or two planned (in my head if no where else) but a Disney trip becomes real to me when I have purchased those non-refundable plane tix. It's no turning back at that point and I know we're on our way! It's a little bit different for our DVC Hilton Head trips - no plane tickets to buy. I would have to say those trips become real for me the closer we get. We are a little more than 6 weeks out from our Hilton Head trip and I can feel the excitement building!

I feel the same way...................:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

For me, it's the monorail at MCO.

I enjoy researching and booking the trip, I love the planning, I love making the PS reservations and talking to a 'real American in America.' I enjoy the flight and waving bye bye to England, but once I've cleared customs and immigration and I board that monorail and see those palm trees, I know I am truly 'there' and the magic begins.

I just finished making our PS's for our December trip:goodvibes

Now I want to start packing ;) My Husband thinks I'm crazy:earseek:

He might be right:hyper:
