With over 1000 posts about the new ressie rules, lets see how you feel about it.
1. Mad Enough to Sell
2. Upset enough to write/email but not getting rid of DVC
3. Disappointed but willing to wait and see how it works out
4. Indifferant, do not think it will affect me
5. Love it, what took them so long

Since I started this I guess I should answer, even though the new policy worked to my advantage as I was in the middle of DBD ressies for OKW GV I'm disappointed in DVC management for giving this new policy absolutely no thought as to how it will affect everyone, but I'm willing to wait and see how it all shakes out before I decide my next step.

I voted disappointed. I think it is going to not work well in my favor since I always book either standard or boardwalk view. But I will wait and see and hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for actually starting the poll everyone kept talking about. I voted upset, since I wrote a letter, and if you are "disappointed" enough to actually write a letter about it, I think upset describes it! On the flipside, I think most of us have been discussing worse case scenarios and I am keeping my fingers cross that even IF MS does not change things back, that they will all still work out!

What have I missed ?

What are the new ressie rules ?

Are they in effect ?

Or when ?

you can now reserve for 7 days starting on 11 or 7 months from your check-in date. Also no restrictions on changing the reservation (so if you have lots of points, you can grab a 7 day block on a Friday in order to get prime time for the rest of the week earlier than those who may only have enough points to do a 5 day stay ... and then later drop Fri/Sat. giving you a 2 day potential advantage of those with smaller contracts). Also waitlists are now for the whole stay, not day by day

I am actually happy that I won't have to call everyday to make a ressie. I thought that was rediculous. I am upset that there are always people figuring how to work the system. Why can't we just follow the rules and leave it at that. I am new to DVC (bought in 2006) and I found out in a forum that I needed to make a DBD ressie. We are the ones paying the people to answer the phones at MS. I don't see why we should tie up the lines by calling every day. Anyway thats just my opinion. If everybody would just follow the rules as intended then we wouldn't have these problems.:(

We are limiting all discussion of the new reservation policies to this thread:

You may continue the discussion there if you wish.
