Poll - How many points do you own at VGC?

130 points here, and just about perfect for our needs!

I figured 130 would get us a 1br EOY in a 1br, but much to my pleasant surprise, our 5 night studio stay during Spring Break 2011 was exactly 130 points!

Between our 220 & BLT, and our 130 & GCV, we are set until we win the lottery

DH and I took advantage of the $17 off and added 100 points today. We won't be heading that way until August of next year for the D23 Expo. Very excited to have VGC as my second home resort

Two different DVC Kiosk CMs we spoke with this weekend told us that there are changes a'foot. In both cases the info was "volunteered" w/out our asking anything about the topic. It seems we might get the chance to use our points at the GC Hotel again in the (near?) future!

I would like it for those times we decide to make a last minute trip and there are no villas available.

I don't know if you can edit the poll, but 0 Points should probably have been it's own category. My guess is most of the 0-150 point selections have no points there.

I agree. I have no points there, but it might look from my vote that I could have up to 150.

Could you (or someone else in the know) elaborate on the $17 off offer? I have not heard about that one yet!

That is the current discount they are offering off of the full price of 112.00 per point. That price of 112 is suppose to change to 120.00 on July 15th, but no-one knows what the discount will be either. Hope that answers your question.

I also just sat on the side lines for a while. I remember first hearing about DVC when SSR opened, but knew we could not go to WDW every year or every other year. So when I caught wind of VGC being on sale I took a DVC crash course here on the DIS. Now we own 330 at VGC! I know that no matter what we can always take a trip to DL.

Oh yeah...I LOVE MY VGC!!!!!

I know this was set up for a poll but I had to post this picture of my 3 year old who loves the swinging Buckets. Maybe it is because she is to young to realize, but that is her favorite ride at DCA. Her daddy is holding HER hand not the other way around, and no she isn't crying she is cracking up. Excuse the messy shirt it was from yummy strawberry bar.

Love the picture! I'm with dad though....I'd be the one hanging on! I can do any roller coaster you throw at me, but those ferris wheel like things are NOT my cup of tea.

As for the poll... To avoid that problem in the future, put 25-150 instead of 0-150.

We just added another 50 points and we're on the waiting list for 75 more. If the waitlist comes through, we'll have 335 pts at VGC. Yay! Those webcast incentives got us. lol

We just did another add on and now have just creeped over 1000 points at the VGC but I can't change the poll. I know many people own close to or more than 1000 points but does anyone have them at just one resort like we do??? And if not why or what is the disadvantage to this?

Considering how high the points are to stay at PP and DLH I don't know if I could stand to use points for the hotel rooms knowing the villas were nicer and cost less.
We have 175 points, and although would love more, this will have to do for awhile..I am already in borrowing mode and don't see that changing anytime soon.

We just used points to stay at PP since the VGC were sold out. It was painful, especially considering the points would have been much less at a much nicer property. Our guide also hinted that there would be a change coming soon that may help that.
As usual, we had a great time -- as did our friends we hosted with an adjoining room.
