And patients do lie. My own dad had a heart attack and a stent put in. Then when he goes back with heart attack #2 and they ask if there is any history of heart problems, he says, "no." Arrgh!
Patients lie about smoking, what they eat, what pills they take, exercise, symptoms, etc. They put stuff in they never had, they take stuff out that they did. I dunno why! If you want help, tell the truth! We can't tell anyone, anyway! (of course, not ALL patients)
